What's the best time to arrive?

Definitely arrive several hours earlier to be on the safe side. CARPOOL, CARPOOL, CARPOOL!!! Please be prepared for significant delays if you choose to not obey all festival signage and staff. For the easiest and fastest arrival and departure, take a shuttle.

Can I walk to the festival?

Yes, pedestrian access is available via Avenue 49/Monroe and Avenue 52/Madison. Please be advised, there will be NO festival access for pedestrians along Monroe Street between Avenue 49 and Avenue 52 and NO pedestrian access on Madison between Ave 50 and 52.

What time does it end?

The festival usually ends around 12:30am-ish. Give or take a few.

Will you be posting set times in advance?

Yes. Set times will be posted here a couple days before the festival and will also be on the festival guide that is passed out upon entrance.

How hot will it get in the day and how cold will it get at night?

How do I submit ART for the Festival?

The deadline for submissions for Coachella 2015 was September 19, 2014. If you are interested in submitting a new idea for a large scale art installation please email low rez images of your past work along with your proposal to info@coachella.com.

Can I pass out flyers inside? Outside?

No. Please try and use less paper. Plus, marketing is totally over rated.

How do I become food vendor? Or non-food vendor? I have questions!

Non-Food Vending booths: Sorry, we’re not taking non-food vendor applications. We are not seeking vendors. There is no waiting list. We will post here if we change our minds. You don’t need to email us to ask about this.

I am going to the festival but not camping on site. CAN I PARTAKE in all the cool stuff going on in the campgrounds?

You can during the festival but there is NO parking for you on Thursday night. (this means there is nowhere for you to park your car on Thursday night). If you find another way to arrive (taxi/uber/lyft/shuttle/bike/walk/float/swim) and are wearing your festival pass, you are more than welcome to visit onsite camping. Onsite camping is the best option to never miss a moment of the onsite camping fun! party.

Are there any places to rent a bicycle nearby?

You should check HERE or HERE.

Can I ride my bike to the Festival? Where do I park my bicycle?

Yes! People lock them all over. Don’t lock it to an entrance or art piece though or you may never see it again. Park/Lock at your own risk. Tons of people bike every year.

I have a Medical Marijuana Card and medicate daily. cool?

Sorry Bro, Medical Marijuana Cards are not valid at Coachella Festival.

Can I use tickets/wristbands/the Coachella name to promote my website/product/event?

No. The Coachella trademarks, intellectual property, tickets and wristbands may NOT be used for advertising, promotions, contests, sweepstakes or any commercial purpose. The only exception is for the festival’s official sponsors (and even they need formal written authorization from the festival’s producers).

Can I sell my [insert crap I want to sell] in the parking lots, camping areas or venue?

If you don’t have vending approval from the festival your items will be confiscated.

What can I bring?

Can I bring an umbrella to block the sun?

Sorry no, those block the view of other festival goers.

What about bringing in my medical prescription? Example: Diabetic insulin?

You should identify yourselves to security while waiting to enter the venue. Security will locate the medical folks adjacent to the main entrance, and they will assist you in storing and providing a secure area for diabetics. ALL Medical prescriptions and accompanying names on those containers will need to match the person’s proper ID. Medical related items (food included) may be brought in provided a proper dr. note and / or prescription detailing the necessity of the item that is not already available for purchase on site.

Can I bring in eye drops for my contact lenses?

Yes, but they need to be in a marked container.

Can I bring a water squirt gun or mister?

Sorry, these will not be allowed into the venue, though there might be some mister fans available for purchase onsite.

Can I bring Chapstick?

Yes. Make sure it has Sunscreen in it too!

Can we bring walkie talkies?


Are strollers allowed into the venue?

Yes if it is for an actual infant/toddler.

How big is a medium backpack? / How will this be enforced?

A medium backpack should be no bigger than 20″ tall, 15″ wide and 9″ thick packed. Bags will have to fit into a box of that size similar to the system used at Airports. If your bag doesn’t fit in the box it won’t be able to go inside the venue.

What are considered professional cameras and professional digital cameras?

Any camera with a removable lens.

Can I bring e-cigs?

Single use Mini’s (aka Cig-a-likes) are OK.

Mid sized e-cigs & vape pens are OK, however no liquid refills will be allowed into the venue.

APV’s or Mods are not allowed in the venue.
(They are ok in onsite camping)

I can bring a parasol but not an umbrella?

Correct.  Parasols are these types:

Can I bring a sign? Totem? Can you elaborate on your NO TOTEMS rule?

No signs. (Includes handheld signs and signs affixed to poles)

No poles or apparatus that is used to display anything above the head.

All instances of the above will be subject to forfeiture and not returned.

Will There Be… At/In The Venue/Festival?

Will there be vegetarian/vegan food offered? Kosher? Gluten Free?

Yes. all!  Gluten free food.  Fresh fruit.  All kinds of stuff.  Kosher too.

Will there be flushable toilets and sinks available?

OMG YES.  In addition to the multiple banks of porto potties, the amount of porcelain flushable toilets has been expanded for 2015.  (a FAVORITE amongst festival goers).

Will I be able to find security if needed?


Will there be payphones inside the venue?

Sorry, No. Do they still make those?

Will there be ATMs?

Yes, both inside the venue and all around the event / camping grounds plus clearly marked on the festival guide.

Are Credit Cards Accepted?

For 2015, we’re accepting credit cards and we’re thrilled to have American Express as our official payment partner.

Do you accept Cash and Debit?

Yes, all vendors accept Cash and most accept Credit and Debit. We have ATMs both inside the venue and all around the event/camping grounds marked on the festival guide.

Will there be lockers on site?

There are a very limited amount of lockers available for rent. Book yours in advance: http://www.lockersonline.com/. Talk to Lou the locker guy. Be kind to Lou.

Will there be a Lost & Found? (Lost keys, cell phones, etc.)

Yes, there will be a Lost & Found booth which might be clearly marked on the festival guide.  Likely located near-ish to the main entrance.

Please try to put your contact info visible on your phone and take a picture of your contact info for your camera in case you lose those things.

You can inquire with lost/found after the festival by emailing lostandfound@coachella.com Please describe your lost item in detail.


Will there be First Aid on site?

Yes. First Aid stations will be on site, clearly visible to the eye, and clearly marked on the festival guide.

Will there be a Mist tent?

Maybe… wander around to see. There for sure will be various shaded structures.

Water? And/or how much is water?

Bottled water will be sold for only $2 (same price since 1999) at numerous vendor locations both in the festival and camping.

There will also be FREE water fountain/refill stations.

The water is filtered, twice actually.

We’ll have up to 16 refill stations around the venue and up to 10 in camping.

Each station can hydrate 4 people at a time.  GULP!

You’re free to bring an empty refillable water bottle (no metal) or a camelbak.

Will there be a sunglasses / visors or hats / sunscreen sold?

Yes, there will be booths on site with those items.

Will there be a festival map available ahead of time so we can see which bands will be at which stages/tent areas? And see locations of food courts, bathroom areas?

Yes. It will be posted a couple days before the festival. It will also be on the festival guide being passed out upon entrance. LINE UP SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Will there be cell phone charging in the venue?

There will free charging available throughout the festival.  Check back in the coming weeks for details or just look on the festival guide when you get there.  Or visit the various small tents. They tend to be full of goodies.

Will there be breast pumping stations?

Recently give birth?  Need a place to pump and store? We got mom’s covered.  BYOB (bring your own breast pump) to any one of the 3 medical tents in the venue for a private place to pump.

Refrigeration/Freezer capabilities for the results are available at the “main” medical location near the Sahara tent AND the medical tent in onsite camping. (see map).  Those locations will also have power if you need to plug in your pump and all 3 have washing stations with soap and sanitizing clothes.

What's the deal with parking?

There will be plenty of parking adjacent to the festival grounds.

Day parking is free.


There is no overnight parking allowed except for people who bought a companion camping parking pass or those who have an onsite camping spot. Everyone planning to park needs to have their festival pass on upon arrival. Did we already mention that?

There is NO parking for RVs.

Absolutely NO PEDESTRIANS OR PEDESTRIAN FESTIVAL ACCESS will be allowed on Monroe Street between Avenue 49 and Avenue 52 and Madison between Avenue 50 and 52.

Where can I park my RV? Is there RV camping?

Sorry, there is NO parking or camping for RVs.

I locked my keys in my car, my car won't start, I lost my keys. Will there be a Tow truck or AAA on site?

There will be a Locksmith on site (it’s probably Sean. He is super cool) and an AAA Tow Truck on stand by.
Be sure to stop by lost and found and look for your keys first! Lost and Found gets tons of unclaimed lost keys each year.

Where is the nearest bus stop?

In downtown Indio about 3 miles from the venue.

Where is the nearest train stop and/or bus stop?

Downtown Indio about 3 miles from the venue.

Where is the nearest gas station or drugstore?

A gas station is about 3.6 miles away, Monroe & the 111.
There are several food places up and down hwy 111.
The closest grocery store, coffee shop and some food places is the shopping center with RALPHS at the corner of Jefferson and 50th. Google maps will help guide you. HERE is satellite view of venue. You can zoom out.

Where is the Taxi and/or Parent Drop off/Pick up point??

Corner of Avenue 52 and Madison. Absolutely NO PEDESTRIANS or PEDESTRIAN FESTIVAL ACCESS will be allowed on Monroe Street between Avenue 49 and Avenue 52 and Madison between Avenue 50 and 52. PEDESTRIAN ACCESS IS available at the corner of Avenue 49 & Monroe Street and at the corner of Avenue 52 & Madison Street.

TAXI / UBER PICKUP & DROP-OFF is located in LOT 1C near the corner of Avenue 49 and Monroe.

Where is Motorcycle parking?

Motorcycle parking is located in lot 11b (same as the ADA parking area).

Arriving in a Limo?

Your driver must have the correct pass if you would like to be dropped off in VIP.  If your driver does not have a Limo Drop-off pass they will be redirected to Lot 13.  Email transportation@coachella.com for details.

I bought tickets for Weekend 2, can I switch them to Weekend 1?

Sorry, NO.

Will there be passes sold at the event?

Sorry, NO passes are sold at the venue.

Can I slide off my wristband and give it to a friend?

Not until the festival is over.   Wristbands become void once they are removed from your wrist.

I accidentally damaged my wristband, what do I do?

Any damaged or tampered with wristbands will not be allowed access to the event. You may inquire further via email at info@coachella.com. Please include your order number and details about the situation.

I purchased passes for both weekends – can I put them both on at the same time?

NO, you can only wear one wristband at a time – you will not be able to enter if you have 2 wristbands on as our scanners wont be able to read them properly.

I accidentally put my wristband on too loose, what do I do?

Tighten it.   (really?).

Any wristbands loose enough to slip off your wrist may be confiscated.

Is a 3-day pass three separate tickets?

No. It is one wristband that is good for the entire weekend. Void if removed or tampered with.



Can I buy passes for both weekends?

While supplies last. You would have to place two separate orders. They would ship separately as well.

I bought tickets from a "friend" / Scalper / 3rd party / some dude off craigslist that I am telling you is my "friend", how can I verify this pass will work or is legit?

DON’T BUY from a 3rd party/Scalper. There will be NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, authentication or guaranteed support for passes purchased from a third party/scalper.

The only way we can guarantee that a wristband is valid is if you personally purchased and received directly by Front Gate. Any wristbands purchased elsewhere may or may not be valid – the only way you will know is if it scans through the venue gate each day.

Scalped passes are subject to cancellation.

Can I give my pass to a friend? How?

Sure. Hand your friend your package when you get it or have your shipping address changed to his/hers. Make sure they activate their wristband. It will still always show up you as being the original buyer.  You can’t change that.

My friend got his order or his email notification that his order is coming and I didn't get mine yet. When should I panic? What should I do?

Passes start(ed) shipping out in early to mid March-ish and take a couple weeks to get all the emails/packages out. Wait until at least March 25th, 2015 before you start asking Front Gate about your order.

Can I have my order shipped to an address other than my billing address?

Sure. You have the option to choose a different shipping address during the order process. Please keep in mind orders will require a signature for delivery and will NOT be shipped to a PO Box. For INTERNATIONAL orders you also have the option to choose to pick up at Will Call at an offsite location near the festival.

Last day to update your shipping address is February 15th.  After that, they are automatically going to whatever address was already listed.

When and how do I receive my passes/order?

All festival passes, camping decals, and shuttle and parking passes will be shipped out in early to mid March 2015. Signature will be required – please keep that in mind when entering your shipping address. We will NOT ship to P.O. Boxes.  We will not RE-ship ANY order under any circumstances.

Any orders not received for whatever possible reason: not signed for, returned to sender, lost in mail, shipped to wrong address, eaten by dog, etc.,  will not be re-shipped.

Returned items will be left at will call.  Only the original purchaser can pick up at will call.

Is getting my pass shipped the only option or can I pick them up somewhere?

Shipping is/was the only option available for people in the USA. International orders could ALSO chose to pick up at Will Call which is an offsite location near the festival.

I am traveling from abroad and not sure where exactly I will be in March. Where should I have my order shipped?

INTERNATIONAL orders have the option to pick up at Will Call at an offsite location near the festival. Please contact Front Gate tickets to change your order to Will Call.

International customers should switch to will call if planning to travel prior to March 15th for W1; March 20th for W2.

I missed the 2015 deadline to update my shipping address and the package is already coming, what can I do?

If you live in the same town you can call your local USPS and ask to have the package held for pick up at the post office.  They may or may not help you.  We have found that USPS offices all seem to have different policies.  They will either hold it for you or send it back to us.  If it comes back to us, we will NOT re-ship it. It will be left for you at will call.

If you have moved out of town you will need to contact Front Gate and have your order moved to will call.

What happens if I nobody is home or my 1st delivery attempt is missed?

First we suggest reading the notice they left you and following those instructions.   They may attempt delivery more than once.  You may be able to contact them to make proper arrangements.

You will have to contact your local USPS to inquire.

We have found that USPS offices all seem to have different policies.  They will either hold it for you or send it back to us.  If it comes back to us, we will NOT re-ship it. It will be left for you at will call.

I got a shipping notification/my Front Gate account says my package was shipped today, when am I getting my package?

From the time you receive your tracking email from USPS your package will be en-route. If you are trying to track your package and get an error please wait until the next day and you should be able to see its status. If you are still having issues more than 24 hours after you’ve received your shipping notification please contact Front Gate at 888-512-SHOW

I have a camping spot but I need to get a companion parking spot for my friend who is meeting me there. What do I do?

When ordering your camping spot you will have an option on to add a companion parking pass. If you already purchased your pass, please contact Front Gate via phone 888-512-SHOW and have them add one to your order (if there are any left).

I bought passes(s) for 2015 on layaway but I need to change my credit card information on file. How do I do that?

There are more than two of us in my family, how can we get around this billing address thing?

As long as the multiple family member orders were made each their own unique Front Gate ticket purchase account that has their unique name, unique credit card & unique email address, the same billing address would be ok in this situation.  For example: Mom buys 2 with her visa and Dad buys 2 with his mastercard. Mom and Dad must each order using their own Front Gate ticket purchase account that must each have a unique name, unique credit card,  unique email address.

What if my room mate and I both want to buy a pair of passes and have the same billing address?

As long as the roommates orders were each made using their own unique Front Gate Ticket purchase account that has a unique name, unique credit card,  unique phone number and  unique email address, the same billing address would be ok in this situation.

Can someone else pick up my will call order?

For an alternate person to pick up somebody’s order, the person picking up must provide a copy of the original purchasers ID, A copy (front and back) of the original purchases credit card, a copy of the original purchasers receipt and a note authorizing the person picking it up to pick up the order with nothing blacked out on any of those copies.
This alternate pick up requirement is part of our standard policy and is for verification to prevent fraudulent pick ups and to help thwart scalping/selling to 3rd party/strangers (which we advise to people not to do).
