Just arrived via amazon. I will post a full review after listening to it a couple times (probably later tonight). Also got the new Deerhoof and Of Montreal CD's. Anyone have any favorable/unfavorable reviews on any of the three?

Hello? Is there anybody.... Out there?
No love for the Earlies?
On first listen, I like it, though it's not as calm as "These Were the earlies". I'll give it a spin in the car, then again later tonight, and post again. I was expecting someone (anyone) to give their opinions of the new album...

I appreciate your efforts and comments. Please call again soon.
Hunting has been part of our society since the first Europeans came over and shot buffalo and Native Americans and whatnot.

York-that was a great review of the album. Now, excuse me while I fly to St. Louis so that I can forcibly shut your trap.

As long as you bring a copy of the CD so I can hear it, that's fine by me.

The new Deerhoof is a continuation of The Runner's Four in the best possible sense. They continue writing skewed pop songs with awesome riffs, at least for the first 9 songs. The last track is a long, drawn out piece that is so so. The rest of the album is spectacular prime Deerhoof.
I like the Earlies but I have not had a chance to hear the new album. Same with of Montreal. And I haven't heard the Deerhoof enough to comment, really.
I don't think I'm hosting a 2016 collaborative playlist.
I called Friend Opportunity as the best album of 2007 back in December of 2006. I just want to make sure that's out there in the aether so everyone can touch and jostle me approvingly when the time comes.
the new Earlies and Of Montreal are both excellent.
I like the new Earlies so far.
The new Of Montreal has to risen to "better than Satanic Panic in the Attic" for me

I really dig The Earlies. I haven't heard this new album - I've been preoccupied, but I have high hopes for it and will try to put it on my list for the weekend so I can come back and share.
I've only heard no love in your heart but its fantastic! I love the strings
