Wasn't super organized we had to park a short distance (maybe 150 ft.) from where we set up our tent. The water re-fill station at camp broke on the first day and was never fixed, I ended up finding a water spigot by the small shower building to fill my shower bladder. They could probably add a few more porta potties. It wasn't horrible, but it could have been better.

^Yeah camping has been kinda hit and miss over the years, even with the new location...But they are constantly working to improve things, so I'm sure it'll be better organized since they already have one year under their belt at the Institute...

My fiance had said if they landed Queens or Eagles that we would go for part of the weekend...So just like that, we are in again...For the 4th year in a row!

From the FAQ section of the Daze Website, regarding Thursday (Oct. 12th) since many have asked on social media:

"We’ve added Thursday so campers and cottage people can check in a day early, get settled and be here first thing when everything starts on Friday! Thursday is available for campers, cottage folks, and Super Duper VIP only. The campgrounds, camping village, Mystic Bazaar, bars, food, & cottages will be open. Gates to the festival open at 12:00PM NOON on Friday, October 13. Bands start shortly thereafter."

Anyone have lodging recommendations, or is camping the way to go for this?

We Airbnb'd it last year, got a kick ass spot about 3 miles away from the festival grounds...I would recommend doing that, since there are plenty of cool and unique places in the area that aren't too pricey...This year we're going the hotel route since we won't be there all weekend, and aren't 100% sure which days we will be attending.

Did anyone here stay in the onsite cabins, how was that experience?

In all honestly I would love to AirBnB but that would make this so much more expensive. Camping here sounds rough though...

We camped, but from the outside looking in the onsite cottages seem pretty sweet. We're gonna look into possibly getting one this year, we have to see if we can justify spending that kinda cash on one.

This is what I'm looking at. Camping is an absolute last resort.

Tickets purchased! So stoked on this sneak peak lineup so far. Especially Spiritualized. His/thier set at Levitation 3 years ago was phenomenal. Awesome of Moon Block to have early bird pricing, although wasn't happy when saddled with the hefty processing fee. Especially since it wouldn't allow me to add both GA tix and camping into same cart so now prob have to double up on that fee. Oh well. Maybe can get the crew to do Airbnb instead to save cash...but there is something about stumbling back to camp whenever you want and meeting numerous people throughout the fest. Guessing next lineup release is June 21st when tix go on sale???

I thought that Spiritualized set was garbage. It really was a shame since they're usually incredible.

Anyway, I hope they book something crazy and unique like Sunn O))).

I think the processing fee is higher this year because your GA ticket now includes parking admission...Last year it was a separate purchase, at a cost of $15/day I believe...So it's not that bad in the end!

And yes, full lineup comes out next Wed. June 21st. I've updated the top post with all the new fest info. Beyond that, I wouldn't be surprised if several more adds happen later this summer, just as last year.

I thought the Spiritualized set at Levitation was phenomenal, too. Different experiences.

I've been told there a lot more metal/heavier bands this year.

They haven't posted prices on the cabins yet. Anyone know how much they were last year? Do they sell out instantly?

It varied depending on the type of unit you rented...I believe the cheapest cottages were around $500, and the most expensive ones were going for $1,000...This was a flat price for the 3-day fest...Since they are selling these for 4 nights now, I expect the prices to be higher this year.

Hey, I called Spiritualized. They just seemed to fit.

I am 100% in again. This was up there with ATPs.

    Thanks for the info.

Anyone know how feasible it is to take Uber/Lyft to and from a nearby hotel or airbnb?

$500 for three nights is not too bad. and yeah they ranged from $500 or $1000 for the whole three nights, and all of them sold out eventually. not sure how fast. https://web.archive.org/web/20161003...rg:80/lodging/

except for the fact that they were actually terrible at collecting the parking fee last year.

They sold out within 15-30 mins...I remember people were bitching online about how fast they sold out...But since there's only like 30-something available, I figured they would go quick.
