    1. Kendrick Lamar
    2. Bonobo
    3. Bon Iver
    4. Hanz Zimmer
    5. Preservation Hall Jazz Band

Honestly that Preservation Hall into Bonobo was the best opening of a Coachella I've ever experienced.

He probably didnt think Dj Snake was gonna mess with his set that much. Plus the crowd overflow.

    Majid Jordan
    Justice
Nicolas Jarr (first 40 min or so)
    Royksopp
    Jagwar Ma

HM: Radiohead, Tale of Us (last 40 - 50 minutes, or so), Bicep, and Lady Gaga.

Cool stuff: Sampha, 30 min or so of Bonobo, 15 min or so of Future Islands, Tory Lanez (needs to not let the Sahara crowd dictate his set - he cut his RnB cuts [and his set] short), and Porteon because of the scenery and vibezzz.

Man I'm really sad I had to miss Two Door. I love me some Thundercat but in hindsight I wish I had seen their set instead.

oh, another HM, Glass Animals! My brother was perfectly positioned and was able to dance and pat Dave when his security guards took him in to the crowd. I was so proud. I know that made his Coachella for sure. He showed up on the screens and I was able to record him (as I was too far from the action). Broken ankles don't stop the true party people.

Sorry to hear. My entire group go got split up from us when we were leaving. Turns out, baby sis got split from the already split group. She said she started to freak out but some sweet angel guided her out. Never seen her frightened like that. Reminds me of the A$AP Rocky crowd last year, except it was me almost freaking out... After living through that, it's a big brothers worst nightmare for baby sis to go through. It was her first Coachella too. God bless the one decent person in that mess that chose to help her.

Tale Of Us eally put on a great set and I choose them over seeing Kendrick again. Def were on their A game and the only better DJ set for me was Solomun. Really bummed to miss Quitapenas, Moderat, Los Blenders and Two Door Cinema Club

I wanted to see them so bad, but my stupid friends took forever to get ready on Saturday. This is why I usually prefer going to Coachella by myself.

This is why I take my own car out every year. I get legit anxiety about not being able to go in when I want. Always been that way. My friends get me. Hi Bobby.

Moderat - Had been planning to see Royksopp, but left after 10-15 mins to see this. IT WAS THE RIGHT CHOICE!! A perfect combination of music, visuals, and overall energy. The pacing and builds within this set were nothing short of masterful. The near-total darkness of the tent filling with powerful, interesting beats and his AMAZING vocals, I was totally entranced the whole time.

Breakbot - probably my #1 going in and did not disappoint. Finally the disco I have desired! Love seeing this with such a banging live band and great vocalists. Awesome setlist - my faves were the BANGERIZED version of "Man Without a Shadow" (whoah!!!) and the live remix of Yuksek's "Extra Ball" (did not see this coming!) Stage layout was perfect, lighting was fantastic, the crowd was loving it, overall just a blast. I'm glad he drew pretty well in that time slot and stage too!

Classixx - So glad they put them and Breakbot basically back to back Sat night (with a small Gaga break!). DISCOOOO! A really well crafted set with fun surprises and a lot of variety between songs, yet a great consistency that keeps you moving and feeling great. They had a bigger, better crowd than I expected and it was such an ideal ending to Saturday night. Song highlight: "Just Let Go" feat. How to Dress Well - WHOAH. This song is just perfect for euphoric Coachella dancing!

Lorde - I haven't been a fan of most of her music so far, but liked her as a performer and person. Well, she blew me away with this performance. So friggin powerful! Each song really added to the overall emotional journey. Starting with "Tennis Court" and "Magnets" (prob my 2 fave songs of hers) kicked it off right and got me dancing. I actually really liked "Melodrama" and "Sober" this time too, looking forward to the new album for sure. The stage layout and lighting was dramatic and perfect for the set - I could not take my eyes off her (that sequin pantsuit! that perfect hair! that intriguing face!). The glass box was unique, evocative, and visually interesting. I find her sincerity refreshing and her personality is so winning. Witnessing a legend in the making here! We had been thinking of leaving early since I didn't really like "Green Light" as a single and wanted to get closer for Justice, but as soon as it started, I knew we could not leave since it's the emotional payoff of the entire set. The crowd went BALLISTIC for the chorus and it was incredibly moving. I couldn't help but take a few moments to cry it out after this because it really did touch all of my emotions. PRAISE TO THE LORDE INDEED!

Justice - Holy fucking shit. First of all, I did not expect to see a crowd of that size going apeshit to Justice at Coachella in 2017. I... kind of still can't wrap my head around it. When they started it seriously must have reached almost back to the Mojave. Anyway, they killed it, I loved the setlist, the hits were hitting, it was dank, the stage setup was VERY dank, good times were had by all. A surprise highlight for me was "Stress", it's normally one of my least fave songs of theirs, but this version was unbelievably sick. The red strobes on the crowd really made for an intense trippy/creepy vibe (in a great way). I left after probably 50 mins to see New Order, then was darting back and forth between them until Justice ended, and I must say I didn't like the end of their set as much, it seemed to be getting too repetitive, but most of the set was really awesome.

    HMs:
Porteon - beautiful, huge and emotional. EDM done right
New Order - a few weird/bad song choices at the beginning but once it got going it was slammin. Loved the visuals.
Roisin Murphy - probably the most dancing per capita at coachella (tiny crowd where every person was going hard)
Avalanches - saw the last 3-4 songs and it ruled. "Since I Left You" brought a tear to me eye
Tacocat - so fun, funny, cute and unique. Perfect band to kick off the Sonora for me this year.
