Default How to take off 2017 wristband without destroying it?

Hey there...sorry if this topic has already been posted/if this question isn't allowed? I figured since it's almost the end of weekend 2, this question should be fine now. (And for what it's worth, my wristband was for weekend 1 and I am back in Wisconsin, so there's no way I am transferring this wristband to anyone.)

Anyway, I've searched the Internet, but I cannot find a tutorial for how to take off the wristband. I cut slits at the top of the clamp and slid both sides of the band into the one hole and tried the twisty thing, but I didn't get it to move at all. Is there any way to get this thing off without cutting the fabric or cutting up the entire clamp? I mean my whole wristband is pretty gnarly by now anyway, but if possible, I would like to preserve it as much as I can for a keepsake.

Might a large nail clipper go through the grey plastic retainer?

I take some pliers and just crack the plastic slider. Should crack in half so you can loosen the band and then just glue it back together, can't really tell. That's how I've preserved mine over the years.

If it's not super tight around your wrist, cover your hand in baby powder and try to slide it off your hand.

This. I used a pair of flat wire cutters / dikes and they came right off.

I put mine on loosely ever year. It just slides right off.

put an plastic bag over your hand and under the wristband. pull the plastic bag off your hand and inside out so as to pull the wristband with it. it'll come off easily. did this for myself and 3 other friends.

Put a plastic bag over your head and breath deep until you pass out. When you wake up your wristband will be off. Enjoy!
