Thread: King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

Default King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard

Since Coachella I find myself singing this little baby whenever at work performing boring tasks.

Does anyone here think that these guys can get as big as Tame Impala?

Totally worth being out in the very hot sun to see these guys. Seeing them live I get the two drummers. It was amazing to see them mirror each other. Fun crowd and one of the top three for the weekend. So glad people on the board recommended them.

Fantastic show last week in Chicago. Played some new tracks for the first time with the Mild High Club off the newest album.

I kinda forgot that Mild High Club played on that album, too. So were there like 12 people on stage?

I wonder if they'll play any of those tracks at Desert Daze without MHC. Or if MHC will make a surprise appearance...

I think only 2 or 3 members of Mile High Club joined them on stage. It was the lead singer who played a keyboard/piano and one or two percussionists that joined.

It was their pseudo encore, and really didn't sound the best to be honest. Was cool to see Stu play the flute though.

#4 out this Friday. Custom vinyl pressing would be awesome. Please post a link if you see any online!

    POLYGONDWANALAND
This album is FREE. Free as in, free. Free to download and if you wish, free to make copies. Make tapes, make CDís, make records. The following files will be available to download at 9am Friday 17 Nov, Melbourne, Australia time at kinggizzardandthelizardwizard.com
    1. DIGITAL MASTERS & ARTWORK:
This is the best option if you wish to download the album for personal use. Available as high quality MP3 files 320 kbps (≈100 MB) or uncompressed WAV files (≈500 MB). Each version contains hi-res digital artwork of the front cover at 4000 x 4000 resolution.
    2. CD MASTERS & ARTWORK:
If you wish to press CDs you will need to download the DDP master and CD Artwork template. The DDP master is the format used for identifying information on optical discs. This master has the tracklist, ISRC codes & metadata embedded. In this .ZIP file you will also find a folder with a CD template, front cover art and extra artwork for back cover, inner tray, spine and booklet that you will need to put together yourself.
    3. VINYL MASTERS & ARTWORK:
The vinyl master is a completely seperate master to CD & Digital masters. There are physical limitations to what the head of the lathe can produce when cutting vinyl. For this reason these files will not sound normal on generic Hi Fi speakers. Only use this master if you wanna press vinyl. It will contain a Side A and a Side B WAV file as well as a PQ log for both sides with metadata for the pressing plant. In this .ZIP file you will also find a record cover template and a folder full of artwork ideas you can use to make your own back cover, spine and inner sleeve.
Ever wanted to start your own record label? GO for it! Employ your mates, press wax, pack boxes.
We do not own this record. You do. Go forth, share, enjoy.
P.s. If u wanna make cassettes I donít really know what you would do. Be creative. We did it once but it sounded really shit. Maybe try the WAVs idano
    bye bye

    Thanks for those links, bmack.

Was able to download the .wav files before the site crashed. Really digging the album! Might be my favorite since Nanagon.

Cool! I'll be at both LA and SD shows.

Any recommendations for places to drink beforehand in North Park?

I'll second North Park Beer Co. We will probably go before the show; let me know if you want to say hello. The North Park Beer Co owner, Kelsey McNair, makes great beers of all styles and it's a short walk from the venue. They also have food from Mastiff Sausage. If you'd rather have tacos, Lucha Libre is a few doors down and recommended.

They were amazing in SF. I'd love to see them as an early return. They should have another dozen or so albums ready by April
