I know a lot of hard core U2 fans, none of whom are going to Bonnaroo since they can easily go to a stadium show. The fans in the South seem to be going to Florida (Tampa or Miami), DC or Houston.
Good job, Live Nation: you've turned Bonnaroo into Lollapalooza, without the guaranteed built-in audience that Chicago offers.
1/19 Still Corners ~ 3/12 Stevie Nicks w/ Pretenders ~ 4/4 Strand of Oaks ~ 4/13 Sigur Rós w/ LA Philharmonic ~ 4/14-4/16 Coachella W1 ~ 4/28 PJ Harvey ~ 5/2 Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers w/ Gary Clark Jr ~ 5/10 the xx ~ 5/13 Brian Wilson performs Pet Sounds ~ 5/26 U2 ~ 6/9 & 6/10 Sigur Rós
This is the worst lineup they've ever had. Not even the horde on Inforoo or CoS are defending it. I also don't think this lineup will move as much tickets as they think. If this lineup undersells like last year, I wouldn't be surprised to see the festival die sooner rather than later.
EDIT: This thing is already on Tier 3 pricing, people will buy anything.

Live Nation has One Republic and Lumineers as opening act for U2 gigs the days before/after their Bonaroo appearance. Neither are on the lineup. Not big fans of either, but that's very low hanging fruit.
The first couple tiers are only a couple thousand. Are they still charging for camping this year?
If it's even there next year.

Barclay Crenshaw is Claude Von Stroke btw, so you're getting....2 of those sets. I don't really know what a Barclay Crewnshaw set consists of.
1/17: Marching Church @ Rickshaw Stop
1/23: No Age @ Starline Social Club
1/26: The She's, Terry Malts @ The Independent
1/27: Heron Oblivion @ The Chapel
1/27: Christopher Rau, Jordan @ f8
1/29: Silver Shadows, CCR Headcleaner @ Hemlock Tavern
02/02: Lily's @ The Chapel
being aware of about half of those, they're acts that would fill out a Bonnaroo lineup for me, I doubt I would buy tickets for a solo show from any of them. I think I saw the Orwell's for 15 minutes a couple years ago.
I like that they have Superjam listed, but, like...who on that lineup would be an interesting participant in the Superjam? Maybe Flea could run it this year? Totally at a loss otherwise.
i have never been to bonnaroo, did 9 years of coachella, 8 years of sxsw, a few lollas etc....this year my schedule looked like i could finally travel to bonnaroo in june, but after this line up, its a massive pass. i do regret not going during the golden years in the past, heard great stories from people that went
