The ACL craft beer tent has spoiled me. Looking forward to checking this year's edition out.

Predictions for new So. Cal breweries to be added to the Craft Beer Barn??

We had Bottle Logic last year, yes? If not, I'd like to see more of them. Or maybe some stuff from BLK. Also, really been enjoying stuff from Culture Brewing lately. Their wet-hop IPA and 3X IPA are insanely good. Hoping to see them popping some kegs, but kind of doubt it with their production capabilities. Or maybe Homage? (although they're even smaller). Ohh the possibilities.

    yes.

Was Fieldwork there last year? I remember being excited that Breakside Brewery was there last year because I'd worn my Breakside hat. I mean, not that Breakside was there because I'd worn my hat, but I'd worn my hat (and a tshirt) and then the next day saw that they had Breakside there. Scratch that, it's because of what I wore.

does this mean you're going? weekend 1?

Yes to going and yes to weekend 1.

And I don't remember Fieldwork being there last year but I'd be happy to see them there this year.

It would be cool if Noble makes another one-off IPA for the fest like they did with "Drink Yrself Clean" last year.

Probably 21st Amendment. I think they were there. Very refreshing on a hot day.

    Any strategy here.
Every year I've gone (with it there) its been a general shit show.
Lots of people. Long lines. Hard to get a place to sit. Muddled sound from surrounding tents.
I love some craft beer. Do you guys suggest a good time to hit it?
Friday before everyone figures it out?

Gotta time portal back to Friday in 2014 before anyone figured it out or a sign was even up and it honestly like just 30 boardies straight chillin'.

The lines are shortes/non-existantt at the very beginning of the day, of course. I'd also pop around the corner to the area that was selling sour beer and a few times there was no one in that line so I'd just get one of those.

It was hard spending $14 for an 8 oz pour back there. Ashley filled my 40 oz Hydroflask up with a delicious cherry sour that leaked all over my backpack.

Sometimes I spend $9-11 on 8 oz pours at beer bars out here so I guess it just didn't seem like thaaaat crazy of a festival price to me. Also I was high as a kite and money meant nothing at all.

For a festival they are fairly priced.

At Desert Trip they were all 11 and 12 bucks I think.

Maybe it's just because I went Weekend 2 last year, but it's still nowhere near as clusterfucky as the big beer gardens elsewhere in the festival. I felt like the lines looked awful but it was just a bunch of people standing around, and unless you really wanted a specific brew, most of the time I was able to walk right up to an empty-ish register and get something good.

Same with that little cocktail hut thing they had last year in there.

I agree. Anytime before 6pm weekend 2 and the lines are not that bad, although even during peak times the wait is not at bad at the main stage beer garden.
Definitely hoping for some Barley Forge, more Noble Aleworks and possibly Boomtown Brewery.

Lines go very fast if there are any. It's hard to find a decent spot in the shade for a group of 4+ between 3ish and dark

Avoid the "dinner hours" as people would just set up camp in the craft area and take up amazing amounts of space for their gourmet corn dogs and $15 tropical stouts. Definitely the earlier the better. Maybe we should do a meet up here since we're all pro level alcoholics by now.

It's rare that I didn't see at least one boardie in the craft beer barn at any given point the last two years.
