I don't see why this is a good thing unless either Denny Dias or Jeff Baxter are in that live band, which they won't be. Steely Dan live have been clinically boring for a long time and I don't want to spend another hour watching Donald Fagen do anything. The man looks like a bitter penis that animorphed into a 60 something male human being. They should've just booked Yes, who are in the least more interesting to watch live as they still fuck up.

Part of me hopes it goes well as it'll open the door for more 'elbow-patch' cheese-dickian acts like Chicago and Weather Report (with hologram Jaco Pastorious) which would give me even more reason to not to come to Coachella anymore

"Have you tried the bitter penis?"

    "Indeed I have. It's quite cheese-dickian."

I think this pretty much opens the door for Sting

That would make for perfect main stage Friday.
    Alabama Shakes -> Steely -> Tame -> AC/DC

Donald Fagen's doing a Coachella tour diary for Rolling Stone and it's chock full of gems: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/fe...t-one-20150407

So I am guessing Steely Dan and ACDC on the Main, and Alabama Shakes and Tame Impala on the Outdoor. As Long as Alabama shakes And Steely dont conflict, I'm good...I think..

They didn't play it or Deacon when I saw them in July and both were only sparingly played on last summer's tour.

My best guess on a 1-hour set:

    Black Friday
    Aja
    Hey Nineteen
    Rikki Don't Lose That Number
    Dirty Work
    Bodhisattva
    Babylon Sisters
    Josie
    Peg
    My Old School
I have been to concerts. I will go to concerts in the future.

I'll be shocked if they don't play Reelin In The Years at a show like this.

I really wish Paul gave them a suggestion like "fuck what your normal aging boomer Verizon Pepsi QuickenLoans Amphitheater crowd is paying to hear, dig into some deep tracks" but for all I know Donald and Walter hate those songs I want to hear and/or have forgotten how to play them.

Sometimes they pull FM out of their ass.

They like opening with Time out of Mind.

Listening to the Dan on Spotify - just realized "Peg" is what De La Soul sampled for "Eye Know". Learn something new everyday!

Yes, it will! The anticipation is killing me, while the majority of the board is making their way there I sit here at work doing nothing. 1.5 hours... At least I've had plenty of time to color code my custom set time worksheets.

I'll be really interested to see the crowd size. The counter-programming is devoid of any guitar acts.
