Lets face it, the "emo revival" is a real thing. Every music publication from pitchfork to npr has ran features on it (still waiting on Rolling Stone to hop on the trend), so I think that there's a chance that us emo fans will finally get some shine at coachella (I didn't attend when Sunny Day Real Estate played). Also, at the record store (weekend 2) they had the RSD exclusive EP from Dads, one of the bands at the forefront of this revival. ALSO, American Football and Mineral have just announced reunions, and Owls reunited this past year for a new album. Who would you like to see? Is Weezer gonna headline and play Pinkerton all the way through? Are the 'revival' bands that are bringing the genre back going to be more relevant, or the 90's bands that are reuniting?
i'd like to see:
The World is a Beautiful Place & I am No Longer Afraid to Die
Sunny Day Real Estate
You Blew It!
honestly, if we get just ONE of these bands next year i'll be fucking stoked.
