The artists timeslots can be spread out over a longer period of time which would mean more breaks between sets and a chance for people to relax/rest and see more music in general. What do you think?
Yes! Give me one more day of Coachella!
No, 3 days is all I can handle

Where's the 'go fuck yourself' option?
if you can still stand up straight by monday morning, you are doing it wrong
I wouldn't mind a half-day on Thursday. Y'know. Gates open at 5, first band is at 6 and music ends by midnight. I am thinking kind of Bonnaroo style here and have mostly smaller name acts and have the tents as the only stages open. I don't think it will ever happen… but it would be fun.
That'd be cool. Or more unknown acts on Thursday night in the campgrounds like the Gabba Gabba Heys did this year. Some bands along the popularity level of lower tier Burgerama bands perhaps?

"Mr. Toad's Wild Aidz."
they probably would not offer longer setlists with an additional day. the setlists seem about the same from when it was two days to now three days. i can't handle three days. i felt like every year i went to a three-day weekend i spent one day tired and having to save energy for another day. but i dance a lot. and i don't go anymore so my opinion is irrelevant.
I'm seriously getting too fucking old for this festival. I think this might have been my last year camping for sure. It's just too exhausting and dirty. A fourth day is definitely not necessary, although it would be kinda cool if it started on Thursday and just had longer set times that way there were less conflicts and the five or six sets I actually enjoy every weekend could be enjoyed more thoroughly.
I'm still struggling to feel normal.
glastonbuy or love parade is a week….kazantip…a month?
ya'll are pussies
Are you intentionally coming off as a moron? You do realize that, with two weekends, you can have two completely different experiences andsee completely different acts, right? I mean, if you are trying to compare Coachella to festivals that last longer, then my suggestion of going to both weekends would fall in line with your idea of attending more days of Coachella.
Also, I can't make out what you are trying to say with, "because obviously it wasn't working when it was just one weekend".
I don't follow. Elaborate, please.
i'll play. your post suggest both that if it ain't broke don't fix it (regarding keeping it 3 days) at the same time suggesting the solution is to go to a second weekend…which was something they added because one weekend wasn't enough. If they can add another weekend and have it be successful and meaningful (what your most recent post suggest) who's to say they can't add another day, or that another day isn't needed/beneficial to festival goers?
also you are suggesting that its a feasible option to pay two ticket prices and take off two separate weekends just like that….pretty sure that is not a viable option for most people

Hell Yes - longer set times (2 hours) spread over 4 days, plus more obscure artists on Thursday as a "warm-up day" ie just for the party ...
I'd be way down
Roskilde Festival is 4 days long - plus they have 5 warm up days.
They even have participant organized parties on the warm up days - ie in the Camp Grounds, they have structures set up, and the attendants wheel in their speakers and music, and set up shop / throw parties in these structures during the warm up days, between the times the "up and coming" acts play at them
they even have a workshop of DIY speaker building made from recycled materials where they teach you how to electrically build your own amp system to then go out and dj your own party on the camp grounds

Maybe the tents could be open on Thursday afternoon/night. Or just Movaje and Yuma so that only the terrace and access to Movaje is open.

Terrace + Gobi + Mojave + DoLab on Thursday.
No Sahara or Outdoor or Mainstage.
I've been wanting a 4th day for awhile now, but only because the 3 days go by too fast for me... That's not to say that 4 days wouldn't feel exactly the same, but I like what someone else suggested... 4 days also could lead to less bands per day, and longer sets.
the problem with doing thursday bonnaroo syyle is that having everyone packed in to 3 tents and the do lab makes for miserable crowds.. same with longer sets. add a fourth day, and more bands and let's do it right.
Bonnaroo is 4 days, but also a far inferior festival. Maybe with Coachella "less is more".
this is a stupid thread coachella already has a 4th day its called thursday for all the campers.

Fuck it, I chose the extra day. I probably couldn't handle it though.
I miss talking to TomAz.
We all do. I live in the same city as him (unless he relocated) and rumor has it that at 3:15am if you listen closely and its really really quiet you can hear him telling you to go fuck yourself.
Making the day longer to see more acts makes no sense to me. I prefer going between bands/stages nonstop all day. To do otherwise kills all momentum, and defeats the purpose. I am not there to rest and relax, I am there to see bands (some of which I will never get the chance to see again). I am there from start to finish each day, and each day is pretty much a marathon, but well worth the cost physically.
Exactly true for me.
I arrived in America's airport with clothings, US dollars, and a jar of gypsy tears to protect me from AIDS.
