Oh, okay. I remember Saturday always selling out close to the festival, for some reason I thought the whole thing sold out last year.

4/15: Tama Sumo @ Seattle
4/25: Rolling Coastal Blackout Fever, Sloucher @ The Crocodile
4/27-30: Stagecoach
5/16: Mount Kimbie @ Neumo's
5/25-27: Sasquatch
Well, hopefully that pushes them away from doing any more Country headliners since Sunday was the lowest sales day.
No one really knows how its going to play out because there are factors on both sides for it to sell out or not. It will be interesting to see how it all shakes down. I'm still waiting to see if the Life is Beautiful festival is going to be a good lineup. If it has Outkast and some other solid acts, I'm heading to Vegas, but if not then I'll probably suck it up and go to TI so I can get to see Outkast again. You might be right, although my first reaction to Outkast being on the lineup, given how popular they were in Napa and how quickly OSL sold out, that Treasure Island would be a good candidate for a sellout.
But givent he lineup, I'm kinda feeling good about not feeling bad about passing on this year.
There doesn't appear to be a single day option this year. Were single day tickets made available late last year?
Loving the new Alt-J single.
Btw, is there a way to embed the soundcloud player in the coachella boards?
Nope, no [soundcloud] tags allowed, it seems. Womp womp.
ugh I wish they would just be up front about single day tickets. I would like to just go Saturday but I don't know whether to gamble and wait to see if they bother with single day tickets. I am fairly convinced it will sell out. though APE did sell single day OSL tickets after three day passes sold out, so maybe it's worth waiting.
Like you said, they sold out OSL in record time but still did single day tickets which also sold out in record time. They make more money doing single day tickets so I think they will definitely sell single day tickets. But if you want to be on the safe side you can buy the two day pass and just sell the day you don't want to go.
Also, do you think that Massive Attack or Outkast is headlining on Saturday?
My guess is Massive Attack on Saturday
oh. I had already assumed that Outkast would play saturday. if they play sunday then I definitely don't want a two day pass.
I wish they would be a bit more up front about this. time to write on another planet's wall.
Look at the lineup link now http://lineup.treasureislandfestival.com/
It looks like they might have separated the days already - Outkast/Zedd/TVOTR on Sat and Massive Attack/New Pornographers/Janelle Monae on Sunday. But New Pornographers and Growlers being on Saturday seems out of place though.
That's just the order listed on the poster but I can also see that being the breakdown. Who knows I'm ice cold with my guesses.
4/15: Tama Sumo @ Seattle
4/25: Rolling Coastal Blackout Fever, Sloucher @ The Crocodile
4/27-30: Stagecoach
5/16: Mount Kimbie @ Neumo's
5/25-27: Sasquatch
True. Last year had STRFKR, James Blake, and Animal Collective on Sunday, which all seem like bands/artists that would go on Saturday so maybe the day breakdowns aren't as clear as they used to be. All the lines are blurring.
I would just be happy if Outkast and TVOTR are on the same day, so I can just buy that day's ticket and save a little cashola. October is going to be a pricey month.
Also, now when I click on the lineup link on the website, there are 3 columns.

That would be a very stacked Sunday.
I was assuming we now live in a world where Zedd, Washed Out, Banks, Jungle, and Classixx are more popular than The New Pornographers and TV on the Radio.
* also, fun fact for Spooks: Stereogum considers Zedd to be a "big name EDM artist" per their reporting on Voodoo (http://www.stereogum.com/1687836/voo...eup-2014/news/)

Zedd, absolutely. Alt-J, TVOTR, and Janelle Monae are all bigger than Washed Out, Banks, and Jungle though, at least based on the SF venues they've played.
(I have no idea how popular the New Pornos are these days, especially after those sad Neko Case crowds at Coachella)
Yeah, I'm probably way off. Re-edited.
