Craig's posts are reminding me of BROKENDOLL rants.
First off, I'm not a communist but more closely an anarcho-capitalist.
Most of my donations are focused on animal focused charities, no kill shelters, local over national.
UOP isnt a capitalist company. It takes federal tax payer money and uses it to provide focused education services to students.
If it were truly capitalist it would require a direct influx of taxpayer cash to operate and use disproportionately large sums of its funding to handle marketing.
All the while being a heavily institutional investor driven publicly traded company.
This is a money machine, it provides little if any value to its actual clients and instead misuses the purpose of Title IV to line the pockets of institutional investors and strap the US population with large amounts of debt which has higher than normal cohort default rates. You small brained fucks can say what you please but when the student debt bubble bursts and you are left holding the bag you can thank Apollo, CEC, Kaplan and a few others for robbing you blind and leaving you with a work force that falls behind most any developed nation.
See, craig, I am not a 'small brained fuck'. I am not only smarter than you, I am smarter than anyone you've ever met.
anarcho-capitalist? is that what the Tea Party calls itself these days?
I am intimately familiar with the for profit sector having reviewed it both for investment potential and having invested in businesses that generated students for schools. I have spoken on the topic on multiple occasions and forecast the adjustments in the sector years before they happened. You see Tom, while you have been busy being better than people at message boards, some of us have actually been doing something meaningful with our time.
I actually presume Tom is an IT / Engineer type. Could be wrong, just my impression.
I presume his is extremely intelligent, witty, and lives a rather normal live.
The forum is a place where he can operate out of one side of his psyche without bringing along any of the social insecurities and therefore be a bit more perfect version of his chief archetype.
Truth be told, he is the only worthy adversary on this board. The rest of you are pretty preschool, easy to track, pull apart or shut down. Tom however, a real keyboard warrior.
This battle reminds me a bit of a fight in "Ham on Rye" by Bukowski. The one in the end when his is living in the first rooming house. I read it again on the plane ride home and thought the fight for fights sake was an analog for these digital battles that happen in most forum environments.
I saw the capt in the beer barn. I thought Tom was there when she was there.
Also, craig, which is it? Today, Tom's a worthy adversary, yesterday, all he can do is crumble like a cheap tent.
PS what do you have on me? Let's see your forum chops in action.
1.5 over 5 years isn't a lot actually. No real point in trying to prove it to you. Anyone worth their salt can figure it out on their own. Also thanks for noticing how fat I am, I've been working at it for a while. I quit trying to get thin and just found a wife from a culture that appreciates a big guy.
If you guys are so smart, why is your citys air filthy, while you pay over 50% of your income in taxes, to a failed state that is broke, and your government makes public art illegal, discounting is historic value. Miami right now is going through a renaissance, its a cross roads of the americas with amazing music, art and a vastly expanding group of institutions. Keep taking digs, because your understanding of a place is limited by the press coverage related to the actions of stupid people. Discounting things without experiencing them first hand is pretty small minded and leads to a rather boring life.
Miami is still playing catchup to the west and will still fall victim to its own stereotype.
Every state > Florida
with any market, it has its own stereotype that detracts from it. like the rampant gaggle of self important douchebags and vapid plastic women that litter LA.
within that flock of bullshit there is authenticity and iconic work being done. inside miami's image driven, cocktail party facade, you also have authentic venues, artists, musicians and institutions working hard to highlight what is real. feel free to discount it, 50 years from now history will remember what is being done today and some of us will be able to say we were there and took part in it.
