Default What bands in the bottom 3 lines will blow up by next year?

A comment on reddit got me thinking about this. Last year Purity Ring, Pusha T, Baauer, Savages, Kurt Vile, Disclosure, Ghost B.C. and Robert DeLong became significantly more popular within the next year. Any picks on who you see blowing up by 2015? I'm going with Flatbush Zombies, Jhené Aiko and Galantis.

It may have already happened with Crosses.

You forgot to mention the Neighbourhood. They were at the very bottom last year and then that "Sweater Weather" song got really big.

I'm surprised Classixx didn't take off with their debut album. They've been a great little LA secret for years but I see they're doing some pretty big touring in these months and maybe Coachella will open them up some more.

    John Newman hands down.
    ZZ Ward maybe someday.
Foxygen, Sanits of Valory, and Frank Turner as well.

I love these kind of threads.

Saints of Valory has all the potential to appeal to wide audience range be the next Neighbourhood or maybe Imagine Dragons

Zombies blowing up like the boston marathon boom.

Also think Anna Lunoe will blow up in the EDM world and really hoping that Banks gets big too.

Was going to say Temples, but they're not on the bottom 3 lines.

I'm going to add Cavaran Palace to my list. I think after their next tour, not only will they get big, but the whole genre of Electro-Swing will blow the fuck up

I would like that to happen, but I don't see it. If it does though, I would be really happy.

Karlsson also has a career as a professional hit song writer (most famously for "Toxic" by Britney Spears)

No chance these guys aren't going to dominate the airwaves.

I'd never heard of Caravan Palace before the line-up came out and I fucking love it, but there is no way they are going to "blow up" by any significant measure (at least in the US).

My answer is Banks. She's got some similar appeal as Lana Del Ray (but much, much better, imo) and has been well acclaimed for how little music she's released so far. I could see her being tapped for some cameo vocals by both electronic and rap artists in the coming year, releasing an LP, and being at least a 3rd line talent by 2015.

I'd love to see Bear Hands make it too. Their debut album is solid.

Blood Orange, AlunaGeorge (thanks to the Disclosure radio play time), and Jhene Aiko.

Considering the genre hasn't hit the Mainstream yet, I would hardly say Electro Swing has reached or is even reaching its peak yet.

I like the idea that a timeframe could be "faggity".

    I personally hate that gay-ass 1960s shit. That's a faggoty ass decade.

I also have a feeling J Roddy Walston and The Business might find a bigger audience soon. I've actually been hearing them quite frequently on my city's alternative station.

I know he's on the 4th line, but Chance the Rapper is already blowing up. As far as people in the bottom 3 lines go, without research I already knew (as in listen to their music, not just know their name) RL Grime, Flatbush Zombies, and Jhene Aiko, all 3 from recommendations from other people
