Probably one of the few dream pop acts of the weekend. Should be a mellow afternoon set hopefully. Debut album was a gem, hopefully performs a lot from that LP. Can't wait.

I'm stoaked he made it on the line up and can't wait to see this guy on Saturday, never seen.
I’ll bite, though I suppose I shouldn’t.
Love Washed Out’s music. After repeated listens – and hearing some of it performed live last fall – I enjoy Ernest Greene’s second album (Paracosm; out last August) as much as his first, which I agree is a gem. Paracosm has a brighter, fuller sound; more “daytime” music evocative of nature than the definitely nocturnal-sounding Within and Without (as Mr. Greene has put it himself in interviews).
Caught Ernest & Co. (his touring band of 4 additional musicians, including his wife) last November. First time catching them live, and it was great fun. Played a good mixed set of tunes from both Paracosm and Within and Without, as well as stuff (like my favorite, "Feel It Around") from earlier EPs like Life of Leisure. About and hour and half, including encore, so longer than his Coachella set will be.
Nice to talk with him after his set at the merch table, too. Friendly, humble guy, with a Southern drawl that does not come out in his songs.
Hoping for a sunset set at Coachella (Gobi, I’d guess).
If you like Washed Out I highly suggest checking out Austra on Friday (probably play pretty early; guessing Gobi, again).
I just saw them tonight.
Sadly I have to say they suck live.
I love washed out's music so much that I have three vinyls and paid $50 for tonight's show.
At least, I removed one conflict in April.
I like their music, but I'm afraid it's too laid back and will be nap-inducing.
Co-sign on Austra though. I've seen them live and they are quite good.

A little bit dubious about how these guys are live, love them on record though. Might give it a miss depending on who else is on at the same time.
Bummer, was stoked for his set.
I just saw Washed Out a couple months ago and they were great. It was my 3rd time seeing them and by far the best. They incorporated a lot more live instruments into the show and had a great energy. The crowd loved it.
Maybe you just saw them on an off night?
My sister is a music snob and said the recent washed out show at the Filmore was the best show she had ever been to. This is a can't miss for me.
saw them at FYF and loved it. I really like how he's been doing Feel It All Around with the guitar ....
Coachella Past: 08 - 09 - 10 - 11 - 12.1 - 13.1 - 13.2 - 14.1 - 15.1 - 15.2
Coachella Future: 16.2
Living in Seoul Korea where I don't have many chances to see live concerts, I love it most of the time.
The rare exceptions were:
MGMT
Ting Ting's
Dan Deacon
SBTRKT in Tokyo
Justice at Coachella
And now Washed Out's added to that list.

I've seen him twice recently. Popscene anniversary show and at the Fillmore, both in SF. I was pleasantly surprised by both sets. I expected a guy who couldn't sing and a laptop, with maybe a couple friends on stage. It was much better than that. If you're into the music and don't need to be entertained by eccentric performers and fluff then it's a good time.
Lol this guys got an opiate addiction he forgot to mention.
Spicy pie is mainstream shit.
Love Washed Out! Have seen him several different times over the past two years. Great shows if you loved Within and Without, his 2010 album. Saw one of his first shows after the release of Paracosm. He blended his earlier work in well, reworked a couple of songs. Expecting great things from the Coachella show. Would highly recommend seeing him.
To contribute in a real way I have seen washed out twice and was extremely bored. I also found pheonix incredibly boring . If you like that slacker comatose vibe you'll probably enjoy it.

I was hoping for a groovy set with visuals, but seems more like a chill set.
