Because they replaced good house DJs with shitty mashups

"Live" mashups performed by artists also playing Coachella, that you'll only know about if you spend the rest of your time at Coachella checking their snapchat page.

Funny that the Heineken House page had this ad:

Guess i just didn't understand what exactly you were disgusted by. Sounds pretty lame way to get people to waste their festival time. Good luck checking snapchat with the cell service they have there. Could be some interesting shit happening in there though.

I'm disgusted by the whole thing. I'd much rather have a lineup of DJs than a bunch of artists doing mash-ups.

I agree, but i feel the Yuma took the thunder away from the air conditioned DJ sets of the Heineken Dome. Wonder how it will end up looking like. The pictures/videos from Ultra made it look a bit small and now stage or place for DJ/Artist.

The Heineken house sounds like the heineken of houses.
AC/DC and Steely Dan? Why not just get a Don Henley project on the poster so my dad can bring his R/V, his fourth wife, and make a day out of the damn thing?

Wow, Heineken is the most gross beer ever made on earth. putting herbs in it might actually make it a decent beer or extremely bad....and weird...

I didn't get a chance to go in last year (my first Coachella), but it sounded pretty bad-ass.

So (and I'm sorry that there's probably other threads that explain this) was there a cash bar inside, too? I know there was always a huge line out the front and then gates like the beer gardens have with some tables and couches behind it.

Yes. You could indeed buy Heineken and Heineken Light inside the Heineken dome. Thus the 21+ rule.

Ugh, why don't they just announce who's playing & when. Keeping it secret isn't exciting & suspenseful...it's annoying! Coachella is in danger of becoming over-marketed. Well, that probably happened years ago, but you know what I'm saying. Don't let advertising dickheads ruin something cool!

Because it's not a very big space. Sounds like a couple bigger names may pop in. Can't really announce that in advance. The place would get crowded enough on its own. In all practicality the only way you'll probably see someone notable in there is if you happen to be inside after the message goes out.

While overmarketing the fest happened a long time ago, without the sponsor this specific live collaboration thing wouldn't exist and it's never existed before so how is it ruining anything?

What exactly are they ruining by waiting to announce it? It was already ruined when we found out that traditional dome isn't coming back.

Also, explain how Coachella is in "danger" of becoming "over-marketed".

And the same sponsor that he's so concerned with is the only reason the traditional dome existed.

Can we just take a moment to applaud "homersexual" for a post which, while not completely free of grammatical errors, was actually coherent?
