Mats are 3rd bill on Friday Coachella 2014 and MM were billed 4th at Coachella Friday 2013. RiotFest gave the Mats very high billing in 2013.

The Replacements being the fifth name on the bill is very strange. Ugh.

The National are headlining every 2014 festival they are playing so far, no? Wonder if they would have co-headlined at Coachella or gotten billed under Muse.

I am dying to go to this! Didn't find out about in in time for the cheaper passes. Plus, it's Mother's Day weekend, so maybe a no go. But, if anyone knows of people trying to get rid of their early bird passes at some point, please let me know!

I bought 2 passes during the advanced sale ($162/ea with fees) and now I'm unable to go so I'll be looking to get rid of them.

    Daxton, PM me.

On Friday and Sunday, you have to choose between the #2 and #3 acts. That's rough. Otherwise, they've laid it out pretty well.

Shaky Knees is happening again for 2015 with the lineup announcement coming tomorrow, Jan. 14. The festival dates are May 8-10 (same weekend as Austin Psych Festival). This year it's moving to Central Park Atlanta, which is in Midtown. Advance early bird 3-day GA tickets are available now for $125 plus TM fees. They'll be going up to $199 plus fees after the early bird tickets sell out.

Last year I thought it had one of the more intriguing indie rock/non-EDM festival lineups. I had bought a ticket and planned to go but unfortunately had to cancel out at the last minute. I understand that there were some heavy showers that hit during the early evening on two of the days which caused some a few problems with sound equipment and minor flooding at the Atlantic Station location; but other than that, it went pretty smoothly. Did anyone on this message board attend, and do you think it is worth getting an early bird ticket before the lineup is announced?

I've purchased tickets for all three years of this festival (including early bird this year) and hopefully this year is the first year I won't have to sell them and miss out because of work obligations. The fest is usually guitar/folk heavy, but Panda Bear just announced dates and has a May 9th show in Asheville, NC so hopefully they expand their musical styles a bit and have him booked for this too.

These are kind of just blind guesses based on who hasn't played the fest before and the type of artists they usually book, but I'd say there's a good chance that some of these artists will be on the lineup tomorrow:

    My Morning Jacket
    The Flaming Lips
    Neutral Milk Hotel
    Beck
    Wilco
    TV on the Radio
    Tame Impala
    St. Vincent
    Ryan Adams
    Father John Misty
    The War on Drugs
    Mac DeMarco
    Courtney Barnett
    Sturgill Simpson

^this is "wishful thinking" and I would be quite pleased

Thanks. That's a nice list, and I would be happy with just a decent subset of that group. I went ahead and rolled the dice, picking up an early bird ticket before they sold out this evening. I figure that you can't go too wrong for that price when looking at the artists who have played the past two years. The organizers are promising no repeats.

The official announcement will be at noon EST.

I've been the last two years, and I'm cautiously optimistic. The development in the lineup from Year 1 to Year 2 was promising, and the organizers seem to have Coachella-like designs on building their brand. They've launched a companion festival (Shaky Boots) that has a country-centric lineup, and it happens a week after Shaky Knees, which seems pretty clearly modeled on Coachella/Stagecoach. It's a good change of location, too, which was one of last year's drawbacks. Fingers crossed.

Pretty good. I'd go if I lived in Atlanta.

Why the hell is Neutral Milk Hotel on the 5th line below Brand New and Old Crow Medicine Show??? They should be a headliner or at least on the 2nd line..
9/13 The Tallest Man on Earth ~ 9/14 Godspeed You! Black Emperor ~ 9/19 Chelsea Wolfe ~ 9/21 Death Cab for Cutie w/ Twin Shadow ~ 9/25 Kraftwerk
    10/9-10/11 Austin City Limits W2 ~ 10/14 Garbage w/ Torres ~ 10/18 Lake Street Dive ~ 10/20 The Districts ~ 10/23 & 10/24 My Morning Jacket ~ 10/30 Vintage Trouble
    11/2 Chris Cornell

This isn't Pitchfork Festival! Why are Social Distortion, Noel Gallagher, and The Avett Brothers so high? Isn't Interpol on the second line for Coachella? 5th line here...

    Overall pretty impressive!

Yeah, I'll be there for sure. This lineup actually does more for me than Coachella or Bonnaroo, for less money and with a better crowd. Also, sleeping in my own bed at night.

overall, good lineup. it's a bit "heavier" and less "folky" compared to years past. nice surprises including the strokes and pixies.

disappointed to not see FJM, the war on drugs, st. vincent, courtney barnett and sturgill simpson on the lineup but maybe they will get proper ATL shows instead.

Any previous goers know how long this one usually takes to sell out?
AC/DC and Steely Dan? Why not just get a Don Henley project on the poster so my dad can bring his R/V, his fourth wife, and make a day out of the damn thing?
