Im not familiar with the bands between the time darkside ends and the Strokes begin. Anybody have any recommendations?
My suggestion would be to stick around the arena for most of John Talabot. Flying Lotus is great, but he's playing the stage that is farthest away from the main stage, so you wouldn't be able to catch more than a few minutes of him. I'm unfamiliar with Blood Brothers.
That boiler room set isnt going to be very accurate. That was for a early day time pool party during WMF where people were hung over from partying all night. His FYF timeslot is at night and indoors so he will play more house and techno but probably nothing too crazy.
This is his set from Melt festival a month ago which is a lot more techno focused but that is catered to that festivals crowd. Would be a welcome surprise if his set sounds more like this.
I've had lobster rolls in Maine, and Cousins' does a roll every bit as good as the ones you get over there.
It's expensive, though. Like $18?

I have to say really enjoyed his set however does not play much of anything off his album in dj sets.
This is my problem with the last time I saw John Talabot (DJ set a couple years ago) - went expecting more of his stuff, got none. Love him on record, skipping him at FYF (all-in for Blood Brothers loudness).

So, USC isn't doing any orientations at the Coliseum, but the football team is practicing there on Saturday at 2pm. I imagine it won't be an open practice, but that shouldn't stop folks from being able to use the bathrooms on the lower concourse.
The restrooms that are not attached to the coliseum will be available. If youre saying the ones inside the coliseum itself will be accessible, theyre fenced off on the map.
