^ That is good news.
I also noticed that one of the vinyl vendors will be Light in the Attic, a very good re-issue label!
I am bummed it seems like there is no alcohol isn't the arena, but I do like that there is a craft beer bar directly in front of it. Especially since that is essentially the middle of the festival too.
8/7/16 - Sufjan Stevens @ Hollywood Bowl // 8/8/16 - Radiohead @ Shrine // 8/8/16 - Boris @ Regent
9/14/16 - Wilco @ Theatre at Ace Hotel // 9/18/16 - Kraftwerk @ Hollywood Bowl
There's going be barely any time for craft beer in comparison to Coachella, though.
The start of Sunday will be a little chaotic for me, but other than that, I'm pleased with my itinerary.
I'm trying to to be flexible about my schedule save for a few must sees. Like Sunday; I'll be at either Mac Demarco or La Dispute depending on whatever mood I'm in.
Yeah. I love me some Joyce Manor, but they play all the time. To each their own though.
With the entrance being on the west side of everything, it's a little bit further walk from my hotel (Vagabond) than I originally calculated. Google says it's a 23-minute walk and given how much stage-hopping I plan to do, I'm thinking I'll take public transportation instead.
Can anyone tell me if I can get a TAP card at the Jefferson/USC station? The website says cards are available at "select Metro stations" but I can't find info on that one specifically. Is there any charge for the TAP card itself or just for the fares?
Depending on when I leave my hotel, it looks like the DASH Downtown could be the fastest option. Is that a bus? Is it really only 50 cents to ride?
Are TAP cards available at the Expo/Vermont station? I might need to get one there for the ride back to my hotel if I take the DASH on the way in.
DASH is a bus system that does loops around neighborhoods, and yes it is only $0.50. Not sure of the schedule on the weekend, but if that route goes by Expo and your hotel than that'll work too.
Yes, you can get a TAP card at the Jefferson/USC station. The DASH is great, won't be running after the show though, so Expo line is your best bet after the festival.
also i know you guys probably think Joyce Manor is just -cool- but I'd probably say that they're my favorite band in the world right now. people have different music opinions. also i'll still probably be able to catch ~20 minutes of Slint :--)
I will be moving soon, so I need to keep my purchases to a minimum.
has there been any news about what food trucks will be there?
I haven't seen him live, but I thought his Boiler room set was solid. I'm also in the same boat between who to see ... good thing about Chet is I'll have a great spot for Terje since he's after.
Yes, I've heard they're having these meat things wrapped in some kind of bread or carby substance with some leafy/veggie things, maybe also with cheese or sauces. They may also have like potato or some kind of dishes that wouldn't constitute a full meal but some would consider a "snack" of some nature. Possibly things to drink as well? Not sure, pretty much I heard it from @somerandomboardmemberpostinginthisthread.
They posted a full list of vendors in the app
