Gabe, this made me think of you.
That's hilarious. It's a shame the writer is an unrepentant dumbass who did no homework and possibly never listened to Slint in the first place - beyond the mistaken song titles and credits (Albini produced Tweez, not Spiderland), I'm not sure what universe considers Spiderland to be "wuss-rock". But I'm glad that incident was actually documented somewhere.
Death from above 1979 has no LA date on their upcoming fall tour...
That seems plausible. I unexpectedly got Ben Frost to volunteer his services via Twitter, but that was before I learned of his LA date in late October with Tim Hecker and Pete Swanson:
Earl Sweatshirt just cancelled his tour. No idea if that includes fyf.
sounds like he just cancelled a bunch of festival dates he had in the month of July. pretty sure he'll still do FYF.

DFA1979 makes a lot of sense at this point so I think thats our best bet.
@FYFFEST: Hey All, just want to let you know that Earl is still playing FYF. Can't wait for his set.
Awesome. Glad I was wrong.
DFA1979 would be a killer replacement.
I hope somebody upstairs is looking at this post. PLEASE BOOK DFA 1979!!!
Lucidity, come back to me. Put all five senses back to where they're meant to be.
I heard the people want DFA 1979
MC Ride hologram
6/26 Sunflower Bean @ Constellation Room, 7/3 Telecaves @ Non Plus Ultra, 7/7 Mitski @ The Echo, 7/22 Weird Al @ Hollywood Bowl, 7/28 Tokimonsta @ Hammer Museum, 8/3 Marissa Nadler @ The Echo, 8/4 Radiohead @ Shrine Auditorium, 8/7 Sufjan Stevens @ Hollywood Bowl, 8/27-28 FYF Fest, 9/24 Music Tastes Good, 9/25 Lush @ Fonda
So i've never really stopped at the merch booth before at FYF, do they sell posters of the festival?
If so, what do they look like? Is it just the same poster that they release the lineup with?
I heard the people want Techno Animal to replace Death Grips
8/22-23 - FYF Fest - LA Sports Arena
9/29 - Disclosure - LA Sports Arena
10/5 - Oh Wonder - Troubadour
10/10-11 - CRSSD Fest - Waterfront Park
10/17 - CHVRCHES - Shrine Auditorium
10/20 - Blur - Hollywood Palladium
Blondes should replace Death Grips.
Or Fuck Buttons
Anyone have any experience with parking in the area? I've parked in the USC garages for fairly cheap before, but to my knowledge those day permits are only valid until midnight.
Do they usually do special event parking that allows for later exits for a higher price?
