Supposedly every retail outlet will take your info, and youre going to be relegated to will call. Maybe they have pick up begin a couple days before?

They want you to spend money inside the festival. Unless an in and out policy is going to result in profit, there's no incentive for FYF to utilize it.

    Thanks for the info.
Will-call was a cluster in 2012. At least a 45 min wait and that was showing up at 12.
Think I'll do it online just to avoid the will-call line and having to drive to the record store and probably waiting in another line.

Will Call is always an enormous clusterfuck. Last year I seriously debated whether or not to buy a ticket from someone on the street and just leave my will-call ticket unclaimed. It's fucking terrible.

List isnt accurate. Some of those are too high, and others are too low. Also, festival rates differ.

And what a surprise it is to see that the opening paragraph of the article says exactly that.

I was thinking, does the capacity of the LA sports arena limit the amount of tickets they can sell? What if 17,000 people want to see Phoenix? Do they turn people away at the door? Obviously a hypothetical; I know 17,000 people don't want to see Phoenix.

There are plenty of events with multiple stages that don't guarantee access to every stage at every time. If anything, I think the inclusion of the Sports Arena could make the possible number of tickets sold much larger.

Has FYF ever had ins and outs? I don't think so. Complaining that it doesn't, when it never has is weird. Defending that as a legitimate critique of the festival is even weirder.
Pre-outdoor festival, the layout necessitated in and outs, and also made for the most fun you could have at a fest, running up and down stairs between venues before going outside to grab some cheap street tacos so you could chow down while you watched Monotonix sweat all over everyone.

So yeah, FYF has had in and outs, but when it was still Fuck Yeah Fest and has substantially different logistics.

I was thinking it was likely, and then Fun Fun Fun booked King Diamond, Judas Priest and Neutral Milk Hotel, so now it seems quite a bit less likely.

Also problematic is the fact that my best friend is getting married two weekends after FYF in the bay, and I'm in the wedding party so it's costing me more than I can really afford. So FFF gives me some more time to save up.

Just a dumb footnote that Pink mountaintops actually were A Lot better at AUSTIN psych fest than I thought their album sounded and it's one of the dudes solo project from Black Mountain.

He actually started Black Mountain and Pink Mountaintops around the same time, if not Pink Mountaintops first. I remember discovering the first Pink Mountaintops album after hearing the S/T Black Mountain album and being completely slayed by it. Fun fact: Right after the first Black Mountain album came out, Coldplay asked them to open a bunch of shows. Apparently Coldplay fans were none too fond of that, as a few friends of mine showed afterwards.

What if Daft Punk was gonna show up, and you werent one of those 17,000 people? Also, realize its probably more like 13,000 since this isnt gonna be in the round or anything of the short.

Yeah, I didn't even know who they/he were but they/he were on right before the Olivia Tremor Control in '11, and I recognized it was McBean immediately. Enjoyable show, not great, but better than the very hit-or-miss new album.

Like Dillycup said below you, show up really early. I made the mistake of getting their around 2-3. Took 50 minutes but that's because I mistakenly went into the shorter "guest" line and luckily they didn't send me back to the will-call line. The regular will-call line seemed to take about double the time.
