Maybe the Jesus and Maty Chain will be there, they are doing a tour playing "Psychocandy" live for its 30th anniversary.

Is this your way of defending the fact that you never went further than junior college?

I have a MASTERS degree from CSULB, class of 1994. Also a baccalaureate degree from UCSB, class of 1992. Both degrees are in political science.

I was shocked, but only about 20 to 25 percent of USC students are officially in the Greek system. However, the Greek System is VERY powerful at USC. The last ten student body presidents have been in the Greek system. However, it is possible to succeed at USC without going Greek.

    Tense of pwn.

An internet chat language variety/version of the word "owned", used in the sence of beating/defeating/outclassing someone. Usually used in games such as Counter-strike or on messageboards when a user posts arguments or insults that can't possibly be counter-argued.

    Arguably considered so-called "l33t-speak"
"I pwnd you that round" "You just got pwnd dude" "I am going to pwn you like I did your mother last night"

Yeah, I saw Ride and Slowdive at the Anaconda (formerly the Graduate) in Spring 1992. They used to have a kick ass burger stand called McBurley's at that time. I was in student government during my senior year.

Two things to consider: Riot Fest's lineups got announced late last night/today, and that was a hard act to follow as far as punk-indie crossover festivals go. On the upside, Fun Fun Fun Fest's lineup is definitely coming out next week, and that has to be lighting a fire under FYF's ass to get theirs out because they tend to share a lot of the same acts.

FYF couldve announced it monday and it wouldnt have mattered what Riot Fest did, cause theirs was released at least.

Pretty much. And if the National ends up headlining FYF Fest since they'll be in the area for the First City Festival, I'm guessing FYF Fest's lineup will look a lot like the Riot Fest lineups as far as the top lines and punk/hardcore bands, which is kind of their thing.

Do you fucks who guess bands like the National headlining attend FYF? I mean, I like the National, but they are in NO WAY a group that FYF would book.

Really? I've been to FYF 3 times, and I still think The National seems like a band they would book.

I think it was more out of the blue that Riot Fest booked them than it would be if FYF booked them.

Those fucks are attending FYF more and more each year. It's a bummer, but it's the way things go.

This reminds me of the Jonathan Richman set last year where I was surrounded by Mac DeMarco fans who were mocking Richman's set. Albeit, DeMarco fits the bill nicely, but those fans who only care about their own favorite acts and don't bother giving other sets a try tend to spoil festivals. Oh, kids.
