mark my words, I'm going to bang one of the guys from FIDLAR this year.
F: AC/DC, Nero, Cloud Nothings, Lykke Li, Interpol, George Ezra, Azealia Banks, Todd Terje, Gorgon City
S: Parquet Courts, Perfume Genius, Danny Tenaglia, Kasabian, Jack White, Royal Blood, TWOD, Chet Faker, What So Not
S: The Orwells, OFF!, St. Vincent, Gesaffelstein, Joyce Manor, Lil B, Kaskade, Madeon
I'm not even surprised by what they try to call a lineup anymore....
The Replacements > The Knife > OutKast is this years saving grace.
(along with the assumed Neutral Milk Hotel & genuine surprise, Motorhead)
A list of (very) available acts that really should have been on the lineup:
-Depeche Mode/Nine Inch Nails, instead of Muse
-Basement Jaxx [live] (playing Ultra)
-Trentemøller [live] (playing Ultra)
-Kraftwerk (playing Moog)
-Chic (playing Moog)
(Ultra is the end of March in Miami, Moog Fest is the end of April in Asheville, NC. I find it hard to believe that it wouldn't have been convenient to book them. Also, the Kraftwerk shows in LA are only about 20,000 tickets total with the 8 shows combined, and they sold out very quickly. The demand is there.)
-Massive Attack (debuting new @ Sonar)
-Plastikman (debuting new @ Sonar)
-Moderat (playing Sonar, dates free, only played 4 gigs while in North America in 2013)
The rare factor overall this year is low. Even considering act availability, I have to consider this an overall lazy lineup.
I know they feel like they need to play it safe, because they were cheap/risky last year. Hopefully next year will have some sort of redemption in the rare electronic act & avant-guarde category, but the new direction is proportionally evident.

Cults(The Cult instead)
Primal Scream and Television
Nine Inch Nails
Twenty One Pilots
A Perfect Circle and/or Tool
Prodigy (although it was a stretch)
And I was really surprised not to see ANY latin acts. Que pedo GV?
Zoe and Calle 13 have Coachella size holes in their tours. I don't care about Zoe though.
St.Vincent-Florence-BrandNew-Desaparecidos-OFF-ChicanoBatman-MØ-NightTerrorsOf1927-Drake... nah, just kidding, Fuck Drake
Starts and ends with Failure. What a bummer, I guess the 2/13 show at the El Rey may result in some of my $ being diverted to scalpers...
2.13 - Tchami // 2.20 - Cursive // 3.13 - Prydz // 3.14 - Title Fight // 4.8 - Drive Like Jehu // 4.10-12 - Coachella 2015 W1 // 4.30 - Sleater Kinney
1999, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014

2ManyDJs / Soulwax
Hopefully some adds happen.
Too many dammit:
Tears for Fears
Tale of Us
I will add that if I were into crazy ass ridiculous Coachella conspiracy rumors.....then I would be more inclined to wonder as to why the OutKast reunion is on Friday night and why aren't Arcade Fire and Beck listed equally?
Now I know the logical answer is that Beck is not as popular as he once was and AF have a show Thursday night somewhere else.....BUT I'm sure someone (not me) will suggest that it's because another name will go next to Arcade Fire.
yes, I know this is stupid.
Where's RHYE?!? One of the best albums last year and I'm sure a lot of boardees put them in their lineup pool.
I thought The Weeknd would be playing due to being a popular name and having a great turnout in '12. No LA dates in sight and it seemed like a lock.
I'm really surprised that The National is absent
I'ma ball at the mall shuttin' down the sea wall
