To me, those early songs are the hits. How can you not like "Color Me Impressed"? I hope they play Hootenany for weekend 2 just to piss off the casual listeners.

"Alex Chilton" was the single best song played by anyone all weekend.
That's a pretty good pick right there, though Left of the Dial was pretty amazing too. My son managed to get on the rail and switched spots with me, a gesture for which I will always be grateful. I got to hang with these two dudes my age from Minneapolis who know Paul casually, just to enhance the experience. Yeah, it would have been a little better to hear more of the Be/Tim/Pleased stuff but that's a minor quibble as they rocked it. As my 14 year old son who moshed to the last 2/3 of the set said afterward, "Dad, that's exactly the way guitars should sound." That's all you need to know.
I have been to concerts. I will go to concerts in the future.

I would have given my left nut for Hootenanny in its entirety. But all we got was the one song.

I was a bit let down with the set, but I can agree with his. Great rendition of a great song.

They weren't at the set if that's what you thought I meant. I meant I jumped just as much as I did at Arcade Fire's set.

I've never met you, but I hope that when I'm a father I do whatever you did to get my kids rocking out to the 'Mats. Cheers to you sir.

There were great moments, sloppy moments, and humorous banter between songs; it was basically everything I could have wanted in a Replacements set. (although i do wish they would've closed with I.O.U.)

I enjoyed the set. Definitely plenty of surprises, but also plenty of the "hits". I agree with Tom, Alex Chilton was amazing. Best song of the set without question.

CORRECTED setlist. I was almost sure they'd played something from Stink, and I was right.

They just finished their set a few minutes ago and they brought out Billie Joe Armstrong to play with them for the whole set. What an odd surprise that turned out to be.

Billie Joe Armstrong? I thought he looked familiar. I saw him last year play at one of the casinos here. Did you see him kiss the lead singer? Homoliscious. BTW - I loved their set, couch and all.
