First heard West End Girls in May '86, in a Pool Hall, in a west end town, call the polis there's a mad man around.
We went at lunch time between Maths Exam papers. It was on repeat on the jukebox. Nearly didnt get back le ecole on time.
It quickly became very uncool to like Pet Shop Boys but what a debut single!

Every time I hear it, I'm back in that pool hall and I play it again.

I can't see any way, with the direction of the Sahara for the last few years, that PSB would end up in there. I could see them in similar slots to Scissor Sisters or Robyn, so I'd expect the Mojave would be the most likely bet.

It makes it a possibility from the standpoint that they've closed out festivals or played prime time slots with a high level of lightening and sound production in Europe. The big difference is this is America and the younger generations don't have a fucking clue about electronic music. So they just wont get the PSB from a musical and historical standpoint. The EDM folks here fucking retards when compared to the rest of world. true fact!

But ultimately they'll probably dump them in the mojave unless Skirllex presses the play button all night long behind the main stage...
