it's about time! this is going to be a lot of fun.
Really looking forward to seeing them again, their show at the Shrine was one of the best shows I saw last year.
I am very excited to maybe see them for the first time at Coachella
The only song I know is Domino Dancing, and it seems like they don't play it...but I legitimately respect that this is a bucket list act for many. Enjoy.
Cant wait for this set. Hopefully they close the outdoor or Mojave
Nightlife tour was one of the greatest concerts of all time. If they bring even a smidge of that energy and production to the desert, we will have that night's winning set.
Ultravox. Visage. Tubeway Army. Human League. the first two OMD albums. Japan. Soft Cell.
and then Pet Shop Boys had to ruin it all.
I think we've had this conversation before, but I'm definitely in agreement with you that the floor sort of fell out of the synthy side of new wave somewhere around 1985. I don't particularly dislike Pet Shop Boys, late OMD, Erasure, etc., but for the most part it does nothing for me. Whereas Human League, early OMD, Soft Cell, Associates, Japan, Art of Noise, ABC, etc., that's just the coolest stuff ever.
aren't there several hate threads you guys can inhabit instead?
i cant wait to watch west end girls as im walking towards another, more important set
Doubt they’d do it, but these would work big time for me. ‘Saturday Night Forever’ (makes sense, right? Such a poppy, jubilant anthem.), ‘You only tell me you love me when you’re drunk’ (a "put your arm around your mate and raise a glass" one), ‘The night I fell in love’ (for the storyline). A top three band for this year.
The pilgrimage is not perfected save by copulation with the camel.
