He can't sing anyway, so spoken word might be an improvement.

That's hilarious that you actually believe that rumor.

He'll be speaking over Mobb Deep meets Otis Redding beats.

Also a funny read from the Guardian; interesting that they reference 'school spirit' and 'diamonds from sierra leone' as Ye's best. Haters, man.

Unrelated question (and not worthy starting another thread for) but has any bay area person attended Phono Del Sol? I swooped the early Flamingo tix cause it seems like a nice way to celebrate the bday.

That is true, but he wouldn't need to necessarily cancel tour dates to do so.

After a bunch of hassles with Ticketmaster I finally got the ticket sold and transferred, however I still have a Shuttle Pass for anyone that needs one.

Good to hear. I'm thinking of finally going to it this year. Do I have to worry about it selling out because I kinda want to wait for the weather that day/week.

You know, I went in 2011 when it was free, so I really don't know. Apparently almost 4,000 people made it out last year? It wasn't anywhere near as crowded back in 2011.

Yeah, all the pictures that I have seen are super crowded looking, unfortunately. It seems like it would be a fun time if the weather was nice and there is room to chill out.

And I'm extremely grateful for the price you gave me and dealing with Ticketmaster.

I think beforehand 'Roo had him blocked off for 30 minutes more. In reality Macca had the ability to perform 36 songs & 3 encores over 3+ hours due to the lack of curfew on the farm.

So I was just catching up on the whole Wayne Coyne debacle. I've never seen The Flaming Lips and I would like to, but damn Wayne is a douche. What are your guys' thoughts? Will it be a solid performance or will it be a thing where recent events get in the way of everyone having a good time?

^Who knows. I don't think they have played a show since they kicked out Kilph but replacing a drummer isn't that difficult to do. Its not like he was Neil Peart. They are playing a late night set at Bonnaroo so maybe they will broadcast that and you will be able to check it out.

Wayne has always struck me as being a thoroughly decent bloke. But that's not really what the issue is here. The issue is that the Flaming Lips have a new drummer. Nobody's going to be able to tell the difference. It'll be a blast. Don't concern yourself with the Flaming Lips drummer. They'll be okay.

Flaming Lips at BUKU festival on March 22nd was after the drummer Kliph was fired. He went public a couple weeks later.

I still dream of single day tickets existing. I honestly would be happy with just going on Friday, I'm curious to see how Bleachers (Jack Antonoff from fun.) will sound live. The single sounds nice.
