Yep, there's plenty of parking in the Sunset and Richmond if you get there early. I might even have an extra space for somebody about four blocks away.
MUNI all the way for me! My time isn't worth all the delicious food and beer I could afford for that $225.
Hopefully we're getting a confirmation from OL everyday because that's all I'm looking forward to...
45 for a shuttle pass is a steal. So convenient and walking distance from my hotel.

I haven't been to SF in over 10 years and I'm planning on going to OSL this year. How easy/difficult is it getting to and from this festival on public transportation? Would you guys advise getting a shuttle pass?
I'm thinking I'll just book a hotel around the shuttle pick-up area (unless they're all booked already) if shuttle is the way to go.
Shuttles pick up from the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium (Civic Center), which is easily accessibly by BART and other public transportation. It really depends on where you stay, but there's a good chance the shuttle option is the way to go for you.
The bus is terrible, the light rail is ok
Donuts is right. Shuttle is the easiest and not that expensive so probably the way to go. However, if you can't get the shuttle the light rail is not that terrible, except when you leave the fest when its going to be a bitch to get on it.
Just a heads up I will not be attending the festival this year, so my fiancee and I are going to rent out our apartment. It is on 40th and irving. it is on air bnb but if anyone is interested let me know.
you are soooooooo good lookin
icedKeg, I have a suggestion... link all the past years OSL threads on your first post so people can scour those for tips/info regarding transportation and accomodations.
I might do shuttle this year, or I might BART in and give it a go on my bike. We shall see.
Nice to see some folks repping from 'Outer Lands'!
A few times a year, living in the Richmond comes in so clutch.
Not to mention I hear the ocean from my bedroom at night. Suck it Mission!

Can you add on a shuttle pass later? After you have your ticket? or do they have to be purchased together?
Living in SF, the only way you can miss out on Tycho is if you don't want to see him. He lives here. 3-4 or more shows per year in the city.
(I've seen him 8 times)
Do you think we can peg Frank Ocean as pretty likely?

Question about VIP. I've gone one day (non-VIP) last two years. It seemed like last year there was expanded VIP viewing at the "main" stage area (The one where The National and Sir Paul played). As opposed to two years ago where the only VIP viewing was from the suite level, there seemed to be a carved out section that went right up to the stage for VIPs. I also might be misremembering. Anyone know? The OSL website isn't helpful.
I think that's an Super-VIP section for sponsors and special guests. I could be wrong.
All I know is that's where I saw John Stamos chilling last year during Hall & Oates.
The OSL website hasn't updated their VIP ticket section for some reason.
If anything, we need artists from Burgerama to play OSL...
