they use thin plastic wristbands with rfid chips for single day passes.
How do ticket sales and lineup announcements work? I'm considering going this year, and I heard early bird tickets will be going on sale in a couple weeks, and then the lineup announced after coachella, then regular ticket sales?
say i buy an early bird ticket, then end up not liking the line up... are tickets easy to sell? I feel like its not as popular as coachella, and i don't want to end up losing money!
or what if i wait to buy it until after the lineup is announced, do they sell out quickly? or will it be fairly easy to buy?
It will probably sell out closer to August and you will be fine getting tickets after the lineup is released. If you are unsure then why not just wait? Is saving a couple of bucks worth the headache?
Outside Lands can be relied upon for a solid lineup.
But if you are havering about going, you should probably wait. Personally I'm going to get tickets the first chance I get, because I know the lineup will have enough on it, even if the headliners aren't great - like last year, where Macca was the only one of the three I had any interest in seeing at all.

Does this confirm just Paolo or Adele as well?
Ranger Dave is trolling hard. Dont see Adele showing up...
Definitely just Paolo Nutini.
Although booking Adele would be the most left-field coup ever.
Man's got a killer voice
Lolla's line-up is out and I would expect around 15 or so bands to be at both fests (don't have time to do exact numbers but the past couple years have had about that many bands at each fest.)
Of note, Cut Copy is billed higher than Chromeo and nice to see Blood Orange is touring around then.
I have faith that the OSL line-up will be significantly better. Sunday at Lolla is just terrible. I hope that we get the early bird ticket sale date today.
Lolla crossover wishlist (that haven't been confirmed already):
Run The Jewels
The Temper Trap
Airborne Toxic Event
Bronze Radio Return
I was real jealous of them pulling Chase and Status...but it is listed as just a DJ set
8/8-10: Outside Lands
10/5: War On Drugs - The Fillmore
10/8: Fink - The Independent
Pretty sure Run the Jewels is off the table since Big Boi will be in Europe then.
run the jewels is el-p and killer mike. no big boi.

Ticket prices went up by $30 this year.
$225 this year, compared to $195 last year. Ouch.
Really hoping we get Interpol from Lolla this year
Well, it' not a flat $30 increase. The second level pricing only went up by $25. Still a substantial increase. I'm curious what the regular on-sale price will be now. Given this info looks like it will be closer to $275.
Anyone got a guess on how much ticketmaster service fees and charges will be? I'm trying to get my bank account ready.
Wow they use ticketmaster? (Fees,Fees,Fees)
What about Frontz Gatez?
225 for a parking pass!!???!
