Dance music shines this year, with artists like Laurent Garnier, Jamie xx, Maya Jane Coles, Siriusmodeselektor, The 2 Bears, Roman Flügel, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Henrik Schwarz, among many others.
Exploratory electronica and the experimental core of the festival are guaranteed by figures like Mika Vainio, Powell, The Bug, Randomer and the showcase featuring the 20th anniversary of the Mego label, featuring KTL, Voices From The Lake, Russell Haswell, the Asturians LCC and Klara Lewis. New trap and bass music will be brought by Cashmere Cat, Redinho y Yung Lean & Sad Boys.
Besides LCC (formerly known as Las CasiCasiotone), four other Spanish performers make it into the line-up: Headbirds, Meneo, Desert (as DJs) and the dub quartet STA.
Sónar Barcelona 2015 will present more than 130 performances. Together with the new acts announced today, the festival will also premier The Chemical Brothers' new show and feature performances by Autechre, Kiasmos, Kindness, Fat Freddy's Drop, Vessel, Daniel Avery, Ten Walls, Sophie, PXXR GVNG, Holly Herndon, Lee Gamble and Kate Tempest, among others.
