Wait what if they gave you gay lungs?
Maybe they did, Tom.
Oh look it stopped snowing...
Two rents and 800 in meds.
Hey fellow cf'ers and cf family and friends. As some of you know, my brother, Steve Lilly got the call for his lung transplant early Friday morning and got new lungs Friday night here at Stanford in California. His wife and two kids will be living up here for at least 6 months so now more than ever we need to share Steve's story and his go fund me page. The biggest challenge is Renee is not able to work until they can figure all this out.. The stresses of daily living, I.E, Rent ( for 2 places, up here and home ) car payment, food, just daily living, should be not a worry for them at this time. Steve's prescriptions alone will be over $800 a month, out of pocket. So please if you will share his story, share his page. Let's make this a little bit easier for them and never stop believing <3

I wonder if his kids are up there with him. I can't even imagine the stress he and his family are dealing with.
I did not. At first glance, I thought it was an update I had already read, so I didn't read it. Now, I have my answer. Thank you.
Wait wait. Steve and Jen are brother/sister?
Hahaha. No that's an update from Steve's sister. The Capt'n just didn't include quotes.
If Steve's brother were named Eli he could get all those drugs for free.
looks like he could have to take a lot of them. and if no one is working, maybe they couldn't get quality insurance with low co-pays?
Even if they had a high co-pay plan, the out-of-pocket expenses they would have to pay for a double lung transplant would far exceed the out-of-pocket maximum, unless they decided to choose a plan with a $100,000+ OPM, which I've never seen.
I gave $20, even though you hate me, you seem a good person and have kids. I wish the best for you and if dogging me here gives you a billionth of an ounce of energy; Have at it cr****

You're a true hero, Ron
Wishing you & your family the best in these difficult times...
His Goldenvoice buddy, Bill Fold, visited him in the hospital. That's cool.
time for your spouse to start cooking meth, obviously.
Now that I'm finally no longer buried under crushing debt, I made a modest donation under my company's name. Trying to get the word out with an impassioned (and, as you all know me, extremely long-winded) rally cry to the Reddit Coachella Facebook Group. Since midnight it got at least five more small donations, trying to encourage them all to share the post out as much as possible.
Oh, and Steve, I may have committed you to having to tell stories about awesome stuff you've seen backstage like that Crystal Method DJ set and other junk. You might have to hop in to the thread at some point and say hi if you want it to keep flowing. The admin of the group has agreed to keep bumping the post to the top of the group feed and/or pin it (apparently there's some downside to pinning it, it removes one of the photos or something).
Also, I used the picture of you and Bill and another one of you with the wife and kids at Coachella. Wasn't sure if that's something that makes you uncomfortable, I think it's really effective but let me know if you want to take it down.
Hey, if you wanna help him out without spending any money right now, go upvote this post so that more people see it on the actual reddit instead of just the Facebook Reddit Coachella Group.
Also, I must have screwed something up when making the post (I'm not a redditor) and the picture isn't automatically shown, I went back and edited it and got it to put in a named link at the top of the article, does anyone know how I can just actually embed from imgur on a Reddit post?
Go upvote this shit and help make Steve money!
Yo seriously, I know it's dead around here on the weekend but if ten of you upvote it or comment then it'll get thousands of views. Dude's got kids and 100k in debt. Click the link.
Does anyone have contact info? I'll literally buy them groceries or do whatever they need a hand with. I'm in the general area and am very mobile should they need errands done. Give them more time together while the lungs take.
