Many of the younger people you've met have also been thai prostitutes
Anyone born after 1960 is not a baby boomer. We are culturally quite different from those asswipes.
Tom, you are either a Baby Boomer or a Gen Xer. You have to pick one.
There isn't a third category for people born in the early 60s (like you, my dad, and Barack Obama) who are cooler than both generations.
I think you are a Boomer.
I stand corrected: you may have your own generation after all, Tom.
Therefore, there is a certain level of bitterness about and a "jonesing" for the level of freedom and affluence granted to older boomers but denied to their generation.
The broadest interpretation of western generations is this:
The Greatest Generation: 1901 - 1924
The Silent Generation: 1925 - 1945
The Baby Boomers: 1946 - 1964
Generation X: 1965 - 1981
Millennials: 1982 - 2004
Gen Z: 2004 - present
Edit: my guess is that in future years, 9/11 will come to be seen as the Millennial cutoff date.
The Daily Show had a nice interview with Paul Taylor, author of the book The Next Generation, where he discusses how generations are commonly classified.
Hmmm. To me, the cut-off would be comfort with a computer. Gen Xers are the first generation to embrace computers. The early Gen Xers were fascinated by Pong, then Atari, which made PC's an easy transition. Boomers, as a whole were used to working without computers and thus see them more as a necessary evil and many still take pride in being "computer illiterate." True, the computing pioneers (Gates, Jobs, Ellison, etc.) would be boomers but the first users are your Gen Xers. Gen Xers are also too young to remember the Beatles, the assassinations, the "revolutions" of the 60's and late 70's. That said, then, I would put Gen X a bit earlier at 1961ish (if for no other reason to have my wife and I of the same generation), with 1981 a good endpoint. At that point, the Millenials, with "play dates," helicopter moms and "everyone gets a trophy" take over.
I tried to keep that under 47 generalizations.
I have been to concerts. I will go to concerts in the future.
Her facebook page consists of a few selfies, on of which is captioned with "gotta go meet my parole officer" and a picture of her playboy bunny tramp stamp.A woman was arrested Wednesday after she allegedly attacked a 4-year-old girl and her father with a crowbar at a San Jose Walmart store, police said.
Hey here's an idea. You know those people who are desperately poor, down on their luck, uneducated, abused, and generally ill-equipped for life? Let's make fun of them.
I don't even want to know what is going on in their home that would suggest this type of behavior is okay.
Ugh, I didn't want to read that. How awful.
the busy bee has no time for sorrow.
Hey Ron, pretty sure it's your fault.
You need to go.
The video is incredibly creepy.
Edit: Youtube removed it but not before being uploaded by a ton other people. Such a fucking scumbag.
