I implored the other 6 or 7 people in my group to check it out, none of them had had heard of him and just planned to stop by, and none of them could, they were all blown away. Dude puts on such a fucking amazing show. Definitely in my top 10 Coachella performances of all 4 years I've been.

I've been a fan of his for a while. First record I bought of his was the Physical Fraction 12" in 2005. Loved every second of The Last Resort when it was released. Have a super fond memory of opening the nearly sold out MSTRKRFT/Digweed date at the 930 club in DC in March of 07 and seeing the entire floor jumping when I dropped "Always Something Better". Then this video of him performing Moan at P3 Guld was put online and I was just floored by how much sexier that song became:
I say all these things not to pull some hipster "I knew him before he was cool" bullshit cred, but to point out that over all that time I had built super high expectations of what seeing him live would mean. And given that it wasn't until his set at Coachella that I finally saw him, those expectations had been built to a point that would have been near impossible to meet. Somehow he managed to blow those expectations out of the water. And, dammit... I need to see that again! Twice in 2011 was just simply not enough!
I caught him 3x in 2011, and yes, Coachella was indeed an incredible set! The new single is most excellent, and the new album in September should be fuckin amazing! I really hope he returns to Coachella!!

I wanna get into Trentemoller, but I'm not sure where to start; I have the Lost album, but upon first listen, nothing stood out. Any suggestions?
If you want something a bit on the dancier side, try "Moan (Trentemoller mix)" (yes, it's his own remix of his own song) or his remix of Royksopp's What Else is There... From there, I'd say check out Even Though You're With Another Girl or Tide from the second album if you want something a bit moodier. If you're looking for something from Lost, Still on Fire, Gravity and Trails are all great places to start... Also Candy Tongue and Come Undone.
