6/26 Sunflower Bean @ Constellation Room, 7/3 Telecaves @ Non Plus Ultra, 7/7 Mitski @ The Echo, 7/22 Weird Al @ Hollywood Bowl, 7/28 Tokimonsta @ Hammer Museum, 8/3 Marissa Nadler @ The Echo, 8/4 Radiohead @ Shrine Auditorium, 8/7 Sufjan Stevens @ Hollywood Bowl, 8/27-28 FYF Fest, 9/24 Music Tastes Good, 9/25 Lush @ Fonda
If you don't like the bands that play then DON'T go. I still don't understand why people bitch about the lineup yet still insist on going. No one is forcing you to see the bands you hate so much.
Have Another Hit Of Colorado Sunshine
Coachella 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12.2, 13.2, 14.2
Outside Lands 10, 11, 13, 14
Dave Mathews Band
Guns and Roses (reunion)
White Stripes (reunion)
They are all MAJOR HEADLINE material
The rest mentioned people aren't going to drive or fly from very far to go see.
Coachella better do a lot fucking better at headline acts or they're gonna like 'blockbuster' video - here today - gone the next. People will skip Coachella and find other concerts to see if they don't improve. It's business 101
I loved 2013 Coachella and I'll go till the day I die...
If I was running 2014 Coachella...I'd narrow it down to these 4 bands for headlining 2014. Media would go nuts, re energize talk about Coachella being the best festival in N. America.
White Stripes (reunion)
Dave Mathews Band sells out baseball stadiums. Whether you like him or not, he is more of a headliner than most people you would rather see there.
8/7/16 - Sufjan Stevens @ Hollywood Bowl // 8/8/16 - Radiohead @ Shrine // 8/8/16 - Boris @ Regent
9/14/16 - Wilco @ Theatre at Ace Hotel // 9/18/16 - Kraftwerk @ Hollywood Bowl
Dave Mathews would be the lowest on my list, but you can not deny their fan following. As Drinkey McDrinkerstein stated DMB can still sell out baseball stadiums. A few years ago they sold out Dodger stadium. If you haven't seen them live....it's VERY impressive. They are one of the best bands in terms of solo's.
If Coachella owners want the "Coachella is the best fest" mark again they'll bring in
Pearl Jam - Friday
Daft Punk - Saturday
Guns and Roses (reunion) - Sunday
Those 3 bands have fans that'll cross states to see.
Guns and Roses has fans that'll cross the county to see them play together again....I'm not one of them, but I'm smart enough to know they have a following like none other.
White Stripes would pull a large number, but those three above would pull media from around the world and press galore
