Which one of these is the dumbest?
I've only listened to the album once so far and I can say that this was well worth the 8 year wait.
It's hard to take the most hyped album of the past 20 years and look at it objectively
So which will go down as their magnum opus, this or Discovery?
Im actually surprised how good this album has been and if they needed to have real musicians in house to help them with their sound, so be it
Seems to me this album is going over a lot of people's heads. I think it's the Daft Punk version of Kid A
Anyone think they will back up Kanye on SNL during the finale this weekend?
There is more to digest in many of the tracks here than most bands can pack into an entire album.
Haters gonna hate

It's not like they are friends or have collaborated/performed together before...
It's not like they have been mentioning that they worked together for two new tracks in multiple recent interviews...
It's not like SNL was the catalyst to the RAM hype machine...
It's not like RAM officially comes out this Tuesday...
Tuesday has nothing to do with Saturday
Also, SXSW came before the SNL commercials.
I bet xanman really truly believed DP was going to join Phoenix onstage.
"Chilly Gonzales on the potential impact of Random Access Memories: "It will lead many musicians out of the cul-de-sac they currently face. And those that do not understand will be cursed to make disposable music on laptops forever.""
This one kinda takes the cake in my opinion.
"Name one artist that quotes nirvana as an influence." (Not directly DP related, but from that thread)

..."Generally, I'm looking to fulfill my specific musical function, which has to do mostly with harmony," Gonzales said, describing harmony as an "underused musical weapon" in today's pop music. "It has the most strong emotional reaction despite the fact that there's so much science and math involved in it. And yet it's largely the thing that will often make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up involuntarily." Gonzales surmised that mathematical knowledge was a key reason why the French duo sought him out.

What's insanely frustrating about that comment is that PLENTY OF DANCE MUSIC IS RICH WITH HARMONIES these days. God damn plenty of it.
I know a lot about math, and Daft Punk didn't invite me to collaborate with them.
I guess he's arguing that pop music doesn't have enough harmony these days, though. The whole "current pop-top 40 music isn't complex enough this album will guide artists in a direction that fixes that" is a bit arrogant. And a bit...unnecessary?
well Chilly's got all those #1 records to his credit.
If ever there was a poll that deserved an "All Of The Above" option.. voted for the Kanye one because it made me chuckle.

edit - oh you already said that. only reason i can see this being some kind of point they'd like to highlight is to chin-check the clowns who expected them to bring pyramid show 2.0 out with this record.
oh god these are so dumb.
