I guess there are just too many festivals....
Have you ever seen the line ups for this? it's always complete shit every year, not sure what you were expecting.
last.fm
8/7/16 - Sufjan Stevens @ Hollywood Bowl // 8/8/16 - Radiohead @ Shrine // 8/8/16 - Boris @ Regent
9/14/16 - Wilco @ Theatre at Ace Hotel // 9/18/16 - Kraftwerk @ Hollywood Bowl
The year Motley Crue played was pretty good with Matt & Kim, Public Enemy, and for a much lesser part Bush. Bad Religion, Offsping, and BLS would have been fun to have caught last year, but we ended up spending the night at Hollywood Forever that night for the summer camp triple feature. But yes there are usually only 2 or 3 note worthy acts each year.
So is this just a Linkin Park concert this year?
This mom next to me almost passed out when Kim undid her pants to show a tattoo and everyone saw her, well you know.

there is a good hip-hop selection, but again this looks like another failure in the making.
Early bird tickets are on sale for the 2014 edition...

I think the line up might be better now they are partnering with Nederlander....
Line up for 2014 is Monday!
$125 for 2 days or $75 for 1. Wonder if the radius clause spreads to Pomona, would rather see EOTS at the Fox vs Sunset Blvd. Fenech-Soler and Big Freedia would be cool too, I'll wait for the Groupon.
Wow, they actually churned out a non-terrible lineup for once. Not quite enough to get me there for the price, but I hope it continues moving in this direction.
If I can get a ticket for less than $50 for one day I'd probably go. Not sure its in the cards for $75 single day though.
I'll probably go on Saturday.
This is way better than previous years!
I saw they added Destructo and a stage curated and MC'D by the Murs (no acts listed yet on this stage).
They announced the line up of that stage..

I think they were added because Kaiser Chiefs cancelled.
I saw Riff Raff at Jubilee last year and after a couple songs it got boring and frankly was a little sad to watch. I'm glad he has stepped up his game though.

Minus the Bear cancelled too.
Ended up with free tickets and saw Empire of the Sun. Agreed that this was organized and well run. Small, but it was nice to be able to go into some of the bars and other businesses that stayed open along that stretch of Sunset.
Ate the best pupusas at a stand run by a girl named Delmy. She does the Silverlake, Echo Park and Atwater Village farmers markets. Get on those, they were delicious.
