I raced over here to post a link and use that exact same subject line.
Hunting has been part of our society since the first Europeans came over and shot buffalo and Native Americans and whatnot.

Most badass use of this thread title ever. I'm fucking devastated though. My entire youth was built upon Slayer. Horns up, brother...

This is the most depressed I have felt about an artist dying since Sleazy from Throbbing Gristle. This fucking blows. This man was Slayer. I'm glad I got to see him 3 times and once with Lombardo on the kit, but now I wish I would have seen him more. Fuck this day.

Liver failure from drinking? If so there is no more metal way to die. RIP.

My guess is liver failure from the spider bite he was being treated for.

I love Slayer but never saw them. Now I really question if I will, as I don't want to just give money to Kerry King. Horrible news, and way too young.

I don't blame you. With both Lombardo and Hanneman gone it seems like a waste. I'm gonna go annoy my neighbors and blast Show No Mercy right now.

Wow, this is really depressing. It was amazing when he made an appearance after recovering from the spider bite at the Big 4 gig in Indio and performing Raining Blood and Angel of Death in the encore, I think that was his last performance ever.

    Truly RIP.

My friend who has hung out with them described Jeff as "a sweetheart" - seriously. Apparently he was a great guy. Contrast this with his description of Kerry - "a dick"
