I have decided to skip lunch at work today so I can go find a good sandwich somewhere and drink an ice cold beer with it. It's either going to be pastrami or french dip. I was going to go with a Ruben but somehow I am turned off from that now.
I got myself a free sandwich today. Yay sandwich stamps. Not the best sandwich ever, but it has grilled chicken breast, avocado, mayonnaise, lettuce, and tomato. It comes with bacon too, but I always have them keep it.
I got a steak sandwich at Panera Bread one day last year, took a few yummy bites and then looked down at the sandwich and it was the spitting image of vagina...and not a pretty one. Had a hard time swallowing that last bite, actualy believe I ended up spitting it into a napkin.
Anyone for oysters?

That is not steak, maybe turkey . . . but not steak.
I ate a Strawberry, Brie and Turkey sandwich with red pepper jelly yesterday. It was delicious.
Also, last night I found myself naked between Salma Hayek and Sofia Vergara. It was delicious.
One of these things is true.
Jimmy John’s Veggie Sub.
2 oz blended whiskey
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1/2 slice lemon
Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.
Mmmmmm. I may have to go to Claro's and get an Italian sub today.
Had this delightful sandwich yesterday at Spolumbo's Sausage. It's the Mama's meatloaf sandwich and it's fantastic.
Jackson Market in Culver City is a gem if any of you live on the westside or are ever in the area. It's a old school feeling mini market in the middle of a neighborhood that makes the best sammies. You will not be disappointed I guarantee it!
awesome thread, had this last night at Miami ArtWalk and it was the perfect fit for a drunken mouth.
BBQ Pork Grilled Cheese on Texas Toast:
Damn, that looks good. I'm heading over to Philly to spend the day on Thursday. I'll most likely be grabbing lunch at Reading Terminal Market. Every time I go there, I go with the intention of trying something else, but every time I end up at DiNic's for their roast pork with broccoli rabe and provolone sandwich. I think it has a permanent spot in my top five sandwiches of all time.
I will welcome any other Reading Terminal Market suggestions though (while trying to keep with the sandwich theme of this thread.)
