there is a boycott Ultra fanpage now...with over 4000 likes.
worried that all these disgruntled Ultra fans will now be pushing their money towards Coachella presale.... fuckin' ULTRA.
Coachella 07 (the introduction), 08 (the bands), 09 (the documentary), 10 (the people i came with), 11 (the relationship test... we passed), 12 (whatever the weather, Dirty Epic forever), 13 (the year of the troll)
- PEARL JAM WHY YOU HATE COACHELLA? -
over half a grand to attend? I forget what I paid for EDC Vegas but isn't it like half the price, and if anything way better just because of sunset to sunrise?

They are now deleting negative comments from the Facebook page and people are getting even more upset.
likes of the Boycott Ultra page include Coachella, EDC, TomorrowLand, Luis Puig (Owner of Space), and WMC. I find this interesting.
this guy nailed itOne of the reasons i believe prices increased dramatically is because they're trying to get Daft Punk to headline. Who knows how much Daft punk is asking for but regardless of the price increase some people might have to try and consider that their may be a possible reasoning to why they did so.
I am going to guess they got Tiesto again and not Daft Punk.
As for the price, isn't Miami one of the most expensive cities when it comes to business taxes, and other stuff.
I can only assume that's the reason for the price hike but still way too expensive for a GA pass.
Tiesto is to Ultra what Widespead Panic is to Bonnaroo.
Wasn't it only 1 weekend until last year? I don't see how that would change things, did they already spend money for a weekend they weren't sure they could book?
I think they could be trying to make up for the extra money the 2nd weekend generated, so this ended up being the price point. I still want to know how you can charge almost $100 in fees? Fees for what? The company that is handling their servers and overcharged for the rental? Remember when people got mad that Coachella raised their tickets barely $30?
A) they want to make the same amount of profit (or more) they did last year. that's business.
B) twice as many people attended in 2013 compared to 2012. those people assumedly enjoyed themselves and want to return. now, back to one weekend only half the total tickets are available. same demand, half the supply.
Right, but everyone who wants to go probably doesnt feel like justifying the money being spent. There was some idiot on fb who thought 150,000 people went to Ultra and figured they made over 100
Million in ticket sales and concessions. I loled.
Ultra jumped the shark with the ticket increase this year. I think a lot of folks will go to EDC or other festivals next year instead.
all they need is half of the people who went last year to go (I know, some people went to both, but you get the point). I would not be too shocked if they sold out in the weeks leading up to the festival.
supposedly they have a lot of improvements in the pipeline and that we should wait before we make judgement, because we might be pleasantly surprised. this is according to the UMF marketing guy on twitter....the servers/presale was supposed to be one of those things.
So they had to break it down for people to understand? Thats clever
so $350 for "improvements"....they better add some grass somewhere. a fan experience team? what they need is a CEM person with festival qualifications.
