Is Downtown Austin a pretty convenient place to stay for this? I noticed the rates there are pretty pricey for the weekend and I am assuming that is why. Any other recommendations? I know zero about Austin. thanks!

Fuck downtown unless you have the coin to get a room, otherwise stay anywhere along IH35 or South Austin. Do not stay anywhere far up north, cops just get worse up there and people are less than pleasant. Lookout for Aftershows and check out the Warehouse district if you don't care for the college kid crowd of 6th st.

ACL wont touch brand new. but for those circles, they are playing that chicago festival with TBS and every single other band from that era. it could be cool if BN/TBS played back to back or together, based on the history. but they wont be at ACL. sorry.

I'm sure they will all play back to back to back on one side. It makes too much sense, it'll probably go Arctic Monkeys main stage, QOTSA side stage, Muse Closing out the main.
