10th anniversary. September 2013. Who do you think will be on the bill this year?
My guess would be Rage Against the Machine, Wu-Tang Clan, A Tribe Called Quest, and Outkast

that would be everyone i would want on the bill...
Rage is over due for a few shows or a tour. Wu-Tang is kicking off a 36 Chamber anniversary tour. Outcast reunion is 2014 I would think they want their own tour and stage.

Wu-Tang is a no brainer. Eminem would be cool. He hasn't been a part of RTB before, but GU has made friends with Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf. He could be that new marquee name, but not command as high a price tag as a Jay-Z.
I'll be there as per usual.

Well, they are on a festival tour (opposed to a reunion tour of their own) and would make A LOT of sense for RTB, but they were just announced for OSL in San Francisco. SF/Bay area has been a constant date for RTB even though we've seen that festival change (decrease) the number of tour stops they do. How might that OSL (early Aug.) booking affect the Sept. RTB unannounced dates.
I sure hope RTB continues with the "tour" as small as it may be. In terms of Guerilla Union and the fests they do (Smokeout, Paid Dues, RTB) RTB is the "biggest/most important," but their others have seen success as one day destination festivals. I'd hate to see GU focus all their energy on a big one date festival for their big anniversary show.
Ill also throw out my NWA "theory" with Cube, Dre, Ren, Yella and Snoop in the Eazy E spot as an appropriate headliner.

Well Nas posted on his instagram that he's in LA. I'd be shocked if he's not on the lineup.

Would you mind elaborating on this a bit more. I'd heard/read similar things, but could never find anything more concrete evidence in my research. Is he involved in the business side similar to the way WU/GZA is? I don't even know what he does for them, but he's either performed, hosted, curated that 36 Chambers stage. Whats Nas doing on the business side for GU?

always wanted to see chase and status, weird that it will be at RTB
will they have an EDM stage!?
this is pretty bad...there are some great names on there, but for the 10th Rock the Bells, this is very disappointing...the hologram bullshit is the worse...that shit got old as soon as weekend 1 was over in 2012...i'll pass on this...I was really expecting something special...
I for one welcome our new hologram overlords.
Hopefully they can just beam the holograms into my house and I won't have to go at all.
I'm sure they'll say something like I've heard before about how they don't believe in treating anniversaries as special, I get it, you can't book an awesome lineup and you need an excuse.
I've gone to RTB each year in the bay, but there's just nothing new and "inspiring" on here. The holograms don't do anything for me.
RTB used to make me go "OH DAMN! They got WU, Pharcyde, Deltron 3030, Lauryn, _________." Fill in the blank on any rare or special artist. Outside of J5 (who's already been announced for Outside Lands, not sure if they'll be at the bay show) I've seen, and paid a lot of money, to see almost all of those acts, AT Rock The Bells.
Seriously thinking of doing OSL instead of RTB this year, which is almost shocking for me to think.
