WOW!!!!! That's incredible!!!
WOW!!!!! That's incredible!!!
Such a great add and I am so glad that they are on Friday.
I really hope to god that Deltron 3030 doesn't conflict with NMH. Or even something stupid like Deltron ending 10 minutes before NMH is scheduled to begin. Friday has the least amount of acts I want to see, but Deltron immediately shoots to the top of my must see list, and if I have to skip them for NMH I will be crushed.
King Britt presents Fhloston Paradigm featuring Pia Ercole added.
And they said they are going to be using some new venue they added to the festival called the Mill Room, they said it will be used for late night DJ sets, a kick off party on Thursday and daytime all ages events.
What in the heck was that event???!!??
No idea, but they posted a news item about the venue and MOEMS affailated events will be going on there including something on Thursday.
I can't believe there are still more adds to come. I am already more than content with this lineup. Sunday conflicts are going to be brutal for me :/
That picture is hilarious, it reminds me of the corporate party they crashed in "Up in the Air".
I hope the Thursday night party is cool and yes, more adds is crazy.
So guys... I went to Squamish Music Festival over the weekend and checked out Pretty Lights. Turns out, he is really great live and was a lot of fun. I avoided him for a long time due to mainly seeing his name on the line up of shitty EDM events and touring with Skrillex etc etc... but his set wasn't bad at all. I was actually quite impressed. He also did a really cool remix of Radiohead's "Everything In Its Right Place."
Anyways, I am sure pretty lights will conflict with Disclosure or Darkside or How To Destroy Angels or some one cooler than Pretty Lights... but if somehow Pretty Lights is conflict free for you, I would highly recommend checking out at least some of his set.
The way to see everyone you want to see at this festival is to spend 10 minutes at every set running through the streets of downtown Asheville. I'm going to hate these set times no matter what they are. There is simply too much I want to see. I think I would have to choose Disclosure over How To Destroy Angels at this point since I saw HTDA at Coachella and currently don't have any plans of seeing Disclosure elsewhere. I'm also looking at skipping Neutral Milk Hotel considering i've seen Mangum 3 times now and i'm not a superfan.
When do you think we'll get a schedule?
Last year we got the schedule about a month before the festival and yes I am expecting the set times to be heartbreaking, especially on Sunday.
See Jeff Magnum solo will be NOTHING like seeing the NMH songs performed as a full band. That is a can't miss set for me. Also, if HTDA and Disclosure conflict, I will for sure be going with Disclosure. I imagine with how high they are billed and how popular they have become, they will be in the arena before Pretty Lights though.
My guess for the arena would be Claude VonStroke > Tricky > Deltron 3030 > Bassnectar.
I think Bassnectar and Pretty Lights will close the arena and it will go NIN> Animal Collective on Saturday night.
Regarding Deltron and NMH I could see it breaking down like this
Delton 3030 10:30-11:45
Half Japanese 8-9
Daniel Johnston 9:30-10:30
NMH 11:15- 12:45
I don't think anyone has suggested Deltron will headline the arena. Most people are assuming Deltron will play before Bassnectar and with NMH guaranteed to be closing the Thomas Wolfe, it seems to be likely Deltron and NMH will either directly or partially conflict.
And with how high Deltron is billed, it seems unlikely they will play anywhere else except the arena.
oh my fault i meant subbing before bassnectar.
though i guess that OP slot before claude would still have partial NMH conflict according to concertgoers mock times.
edit i didn't realize deltron was up that high, wow. it could just as easily be bassnectar playing 10:30-12:15/30 and deltron closing.
