now if you are on the highway and there are a bunch of cars following a hearse what is your proper eitquette. What would you do if you had to get off the highway but you couldnt because you would have to cut in between the cars?

do you have enough room to get between cars?
I am going to get so blown to Cypress Hill while they play.
The dead have no use for good manners.
can a funeral procession use the HOV lane?

Does this really happen?
I thought funeral homes were always near the cemetary.
I miss Bill Hicks.
my grandpa was escorted by cops on the freeway... all of us following has huge oprange stickers on the front and back of our cars that said FUNERAL. a few cars has cut... I didnt think it was a big deal
Processions can be huge and it's rather expensive to have a funeral home escort, and even more expensive for the local city police department. Appropriate ettiquite is to stay out of the procession but if necessary to exit freeway give plenty of time to signal and merge for your exit. Just remember to be compassionate towards the grieving family & friends of the deceased participating in the procession.
Also remember that sometimes processions do not have an escort...
Dude...that's cold forsure...I look nothing like that ol' bag
Tom made a funny.
Anyone ever taken a camera to a funeral? I went to school with a guy who took pictures at our friend's funerals. I thought it was tacky.
Whiskey Sour
2 oz blended whiskey
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1 cherry
1/2 slice lemon
Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.
Last year my friend was home for Christmas and his family were all opening their gifts, and his Dad opened a gift which he had received from his sister (my friend's aunt), and it was a framed photograph of their dead mother, lying in her casket. He burst into tears and left the room.
Worst Christmas present ever.
"The first time I heard the new single off the Bravery album, I actually cried, and I do not even remember the name of that damn song. It reminded me of this girl I am in love with." - kroqken
that's SICK man....i refuse to even walk by open caskets, let alone keep pics of it...i'd rather just remember them alive
I'm a reasonable man, get off my case.
Camera's have no business at a funeral...how can people be so...
When my husband's father died, his aunt got right up next to him to get close up shots as they carried the casket to the grave sight. It was horrific and unsettling.
My husband and I laugh about it often. What else can you do?
I'd like to listen to "a slow dance" by Explosions In The Sky at a funeral... but that would be kind of obnoxious with the white ear phone wires hanging over a black suit.
I'd totally be the guy everyone asks amongst themselves, "so, who's the douchebag with the ipod?"
Just get earphones with black wires.
i have been that tacky person a couple of times. A few years ago a friend of mine passed away and his funeral was on a boat out of Long Beach. Some of my freinds were not happy with it at the time, but have since embraced the pictures (although some still refuse to even look at them). The first friends at that funeral to come over and see the slide show, cried; but they were happy a last gathering of friends for Griffin was captured.
The other time was at my friend's father's funeral. i'm the guy in our group that takes the pictures. Before taking any, i approached my friend and asked him if he wanted me to. He did. Some are sad. Some are funny. If you were part of the ceremony, i think it evokes emotion. Very few people see these pictures.
In all these pictures, none are of the body. They are of the event and the people there. i have heard the tacky thing, but think the pictures are beautiful (at least the good ones).
