Not sure how to play the game. Watched a couple times, but not very long. I'll read up on some rules.
Any advice on getting tix for MWC championship basketball tourney? Day of best? Stub hub? etc.
Always know the "StubHub cutoff time" for that particular game -- that is, the time they stop selling tickets.
Check it often for "outlier" tickets that are far cheaper than the rest (when factoring in seat location).
The closer you get to game time, the better chance you will have to snag a "panic bargain" ticket from a seller who doesn't want their seats going unsold.

mrs riko and I are going to Vegas in July for her birthday. We're staying during the week, and it's July, so hotel rates are really good. A lot of the nicer places are $150 or less per night.
Anyone have thoughts on THEhotel at Mandalay Bay vs Bellagio vs Cosmopolitan? We want a nice pool but don't want the club scene stuff. The suites at THEhotel look cool -- they're huge, with two bathrooms and a separate living room. Any downsides to staying there?
I absolutely love the Cosmo. Stayed in a wraparound terrace suite that overlooked the Bellagio fountains. The entire hotel is awesome with great food and great music playing throughout the hotel. This is my new go to hotel
The cosmo suites overlooking the Bellagio waters are really beautiful. Nice terrace to smoke on (if that's your poison). Very great.
I am going to Vegas in a month, I wish I could afford a room at cosmo. The place is gorgeous!
I don't spend a lot of time in my room, so I usually look for something more reasonably priced since I basically just store my bags there. I have been combing over all the travel websites though, and I made the mistake of reading reviews. Now I am scared... I have narrowed it down to The Riviera, Stratosphere, Ballys and LVH... Which would be less scary?
If you're looking for crack cocaine, by all means stay at the stratosphere.
Cosmo has great rooms and great views..
Women dressed like whores and drunk guidos packed like sardines in the elevators at 11pm = party atmosphere
Women dressed like whores and drunk guidos packed like sardines in the elevators at 8am = sad

LVH has the monorail just outside, so I was considering it. I would prefer to be on the strip though. Thanks for the recommendation. I have never been in Bally's, if the other rooms don't go down in price I will book there.
The Platinum is generally priced well. Full kitchen, washer/dryer. Right behind Bally's, off the strip by a block. Never had an issue there in the 4-5 times we've stayed.
The Platinum is a great spot which I would have recommended if it was one of the options she listed. It is off the strip but right behind Bally's so it's not to bad of a walk to the strip. Every room is a suite so that is nice it just depends on what size suite you are going to get but it is very well priced. It is my understanding that when it was originally built it was planned on being an apartment building but then it was changed to a hotel last minute so it doesn't have that hotel feel to it. Negatives are no casino and the pool isn't much to be desired but other then that it is a great spot.
In the last couple years I have stayed at MGM, Excalibur, and Flamingo, and all have perfectly good, clean rooms with absolutely no issues whatsoever.

Archie, how do you feel about Downtown? I stayed at the brand new Downtown Grand earlier this year and got a nice 4-star room for like $40.
We stayed in a Go room at the Flamingo a couple years ago and it was nice. We stayed at the Golden Nugget downtown last year and it was fine. Enjoyed the shark tank and slide in the pool there. Because rates are so cheap on weeknights in July, we want to go a little more upscale this time. Thanks for all the tips...
Of the places I've stayed the Flamingo was the best located, and I liked Paris and Planet Hollywood a lot too. The Luxor was OK. Wynn and Encore are nice to stay in but you literally walk a mile from the casino just to get to the street.
