2/21 - Skinny Puppy
5/23-25 - Summer Camp
7/18-20 - Pitchfork Music Festival
8/1-3 - Lollapalooza
very solid line up, pretty much as expected, nothing spectacular in there, but very good overall
its a pass for me this year again cause of other things during the summer
I agree, but they could easily do one of those legendary pre shows the night before at The Vic or Metro like Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters have done. Wasn't thinking the same night.
I think RHCP played about 2 hours. Green Day were slated for 2 hours and went over by about 35 minutes I think. I think Pearl Jam also played for about 2.5.
It's funny how everything was roses when we held on to the guns.
Alternative indie music was really in a lull at that time in the mainstream and this lineup wouldn't have worked financially as a tour. I had bought tickets being the huge SY fan that I am. I have a silkscreen poster of this Lolla that somehow made its way onto the market despite being cancelled.
Green Day started at 7:45 and ended at close to 10:15.
If that's the real lineup, it's pretty good. I'm wondering if The Cure is going to be an exclusive or if they're going to play more shows in the U.S. If that's the only chance I have of seeing them, I want to go on their day.
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.
Lineup is out. Looks like the leak was accurate - Mumford, the Cure, NIN, Vampire Weekend, Phoenix, the Killers, Postal Service, New Order....
Would have been nice to see NIN, Kendrick Lamar, the National, Thievery Corporation and Emile Sande but the rest is meh. No exclusives that make you go 'wow'. I bet the lions share of these artists not playing Coachella end up at Outside Lands.
I was sorta close! I can't believe the Postal Service will be one of the "headliners"...

I was sure Coachella would get Angel Haze. It would've been great to have her and Death Grips in the desert this year.
Death Grips fucked it up for two weekends last year. I'm surprised they're even around a year later, to be honest. I guess we'll have to wait for the lead singer to sober up before he can inject himself with that fatal junk load we've all been waiting for. Otherwise, I was sort of hoping to see them again this year too...
Saturday is the worst single day I've ever seen. snoozer.
I may go down Friday, but probably not. I hate this fest and know I would have to miss half the acts I want to see that day. I am also hitting way more festivals than I had originally intended anyway
DREAM BIGGER
2005-2009 was over saturation for everything NIN, especially touring. Is Depeche Mode's label still going to be pushing that album 6 months from now?
There is 4 years pent up demand for NIN so it'll be curious to see how their crowd compares to some of the other Lolla headliners.
