I know she got a bad reputation for performing late and sometimes not delivering as well for the past few years. But is anyone really excited to see her? Crazy or not, she's a legend, and I'm kind of really thrilled about this.
Will definitely watch her if she doesn't conflict with one of my few Friday favorites. But research will tell if the number of acts I'm excited about stay as low for Friday.
Friday: Outkast, The Knife, The Replacements, Broken Bells, Girl Talk, Haim, Bryan Ferry
Saturday: Lorde, Empire of the Sun, Fatboy Slim, Nas, Kid Cudi, Sleigh Bells, CHVRCHES, Mogwai, Bombay Bicycle Club, Holy Ghost!, The Internet
Sunday: Arcade Fire, Neutral Milk Hotel, Disclosure, Chance the Rapper, Starfucker, Superchunk, Poolside
Robert DeLong - The Independent - Jan 28
Mad Caddies - Slim's - Feb 8
St. Vincent - Fox Theatre - March 22
I was disappointed when she had to pull out and there was the big question mark of who would replace her. I just hope that if there's going to be another token unreliable performer this year it's not Lauryn Hill.

She will be the Sly of 2011, except if/when she does arrive it will probably be a good performance. They should book her as the last act in Gobi at like 11pm so she has plenty of time to make it to the stage. (assuming Fri and Sat end at 1am again this year)
I heard from message boards on an underground/alternative hip-hop site that she re-worked most of her song, almost to the point where they aren't recognizable- so it'll be interesting to hear them like that. Reviews for her recent shows have also been good, saying that she had a strong performance. So hopefully she'll turn the party out.
