So it will be a MBV ATP US 2013?

I miss talking to TomAz.
We all do. I live in the same city as him (unless he relocated) and rumor has it that at 3:15am if you listen closely and its really really quiet you can hear him telling you to go fuck yourself.
Here's the official full album stream (playlist) on YouTube. So-so quality, of course... http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...xoEDHp89rKoNpO
The editor of the site I occasionally write reviews for asked me to do one for this album, so I got a chance to dig in a bit more (mostly by listening to it while I napped, which is a very odd experience). I'll post the full review whenever it's up, but basically, it strikes me as very uneven, although even the lesser songs have at least some element to recommend them, and oddly structured, kind of tying up lose ends and showing more promise for future releases (fingers locked!) than being an out and out great complete musical statement. I like it quite a bit and am looking forward to letting it soak in over time, but man does "In Another Way" beat all, with "Wonder 2" either closely behind it or right alongside it. I could listen to just those two songs all day.
"if i am" is the one that's really gotten under my skin after repeated listens. I think that and "new you" are my favorites.
There's nothing to not like here for me, I'm not a gnarly fan or anything but I find this exceedingly listenable.
^ Yep. I listened to that song today and it was great. Some really solid other bands on there too.

Serious question.. Why does it never seem like you can listen to an MBV song at too high a volume. Like your set-up can be fucking overloaded with noise, yet it never hurts your ears and you always wish it could go just a little bit louder. Is that something they do in the mastering process or is that really the way Kevin plays guitar?
(I don't know shit about gear)

Feels what kind of stereo are you playing through? Is your question in general for any system you play on or a particular one? It could be a matter of equalization. Turn the treble down and then increase the volume perhaps. If you are listening to stuff like MBV on little speakers cranked up then that is the problem. Its distorting through the smaller speakers because they can't handle some of the frequencies.
I'm talking about in general.. like their music never seems too loud for me and I've heard others say the same (it's not a bad thing at all). And i don't know of any other band that can pull that off. You know their music is playing at a really high volume yet it never gets overbearing
hope that makes sense hah

Godspeed into MBV avec new material would be one hell of an incredible sensory overload. Maybe the two best live acts playing right now. I'd kill to be there.

No, but they were only supposed to be shipping on Friday, and the order confirmation said they would take 14-28 days to arrive (they're shipping from the UK).
What Heidi said. It's gonna take awhile, and I'm getting impatient cuz Zack gave me a bottle of Alesmith My Bloody Valentine, and I'm waiting to have the record to drink it. Probably do a triple feature with Isn't Anything, Loveless and m b v and not get out of bed (except to flip records and grab beers) for hours.
People in the UK are receiving theirs. Apparently the packaging is not that good. Does not bode well for a trip across the ocean. But you can check the status of your order on the website in your purchase history.
I'm wondering if they're doing what Radiohead did with the In Rainbows box where they only made as many copies as were ordered.
Oh, and I just checked my order status again. It says it has now shipped. Wooh.

Yes, especially "Down Is the New Up" and "Last Flowers." A pity those two seem to have been dropped by the band.
On the website it says the vinyl/cd are gonna have different covers than the one we've been seeing. Excited to see what it's gonna look like since i'm not the biggest fan of that one

My Bloody Valentine will play at the Berlin Festival on September 7th 2013.

My vinyl arrived in the mail today. Same art work as the mp3 version, but it is a gatefold so there is some inner art as well, but nothing else. Nothing seems to be damaged from the shipping either.
Now I just need to go home and crank it to 11.
