the ball thing did take 20 min
We were considering going on Saturday but the band that most interests me is Heartless Bastards and we saw them at the Crescent last year, and the other major act that caught our attention that day is the Roots, who will be at Bestival, which is going to cost us quite a bit of money. So we're going to pass.
Cooler than a polar bears toenails.
The Flaming Lips were in-fucking-credible last night. I wasn't sure how they would top Tame Impala's 75 minute set, but they managed to blow my mind. This stage setup NEEDS to be on the polo fields.
Is it the same setup that they've had for half the last few years? I like it, but I've saw it 4 times now. They need a little change.
No,its different. I saw them open for the black keys this summer. Sound was too low and the setlist wasn't exactly 'opening for the black keys at an ampitheater in 2013' friendly but it'd be a good show go close the outdoor.
Not to mention they sound like shit live. This band is the Insane Clown Posse of indie. I would rather see the latter on the polo fields.
People are really overstating the Flaming Lips popularity and fame. They're not even close to a sub headliner. Every show I've ever seen them play has been a carbon copy of the first one I saw.
3pm slot someplace.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams; it is still a beautiful world.

They should've just replaced Wayne. He is by far the worst part about the band
Drummer speaks up
AC/DC and Steely Dan? Why not just get a Don Henley project on the poster so my dad can bring his R/V, his fourth wife, and make a day out of the damn thing?
I just heard about all the Badu nonsense from a couple of years ago. Wayne is quite the asshole. I'm so disappointed.
