I think I might camp once they open that up. Not trying to drive to and from the show when its a beer and wine festival. If there is a couple of friendly chill trustworthy people out there that want to split a room I am game.

Is there going to be onsite camping (or nearby anyway)? I don't see that posted on their website.
*edit: it also says comedy, of which I see none.

Well, that and the Further fans.
Every time I glance at the title of this thread it looks like Bottle NECK Rock. That is what it could potentially be. I used to hang in Tiburon and like others have said, the roads are not made for major traffic in places imo.... cr****
Have Another Hit Of Colorado Sunshine
Calistoga is 26 miles from Napa on 2-lane highway 29....it's a fucking traffic nightmare on busy weekends, and I would venture to say that May 10-13 will be a busy weekend. Good luck on that. Napa's roads (in and out of town) are not built for major traffic. It's gonna be a nightmare for EVERYBODY. Thankfully, I have a ride up/back each day from American Canyon (and we plan on leaving early every morning from the house - plus we're just being dropped off, so not actually having to worry about parking!). I lived there for 25 years, I know the tricks for avoiding the guaranteed traffic clusterfucks that are gonna happen.
Camp where? There's no places to camp in Napa. Skyline park? That's about it, and I'm sure it's already booked. Don't tell me Lake Berryessa, because that shit is like an hour away at the least, and who the hell would wanna deal with driving up there AND back each day after being at the festival all day? Not me, that's for sure. Best bet, go pitch a tent in a far end of Alston park and hope you don't get caught.
Napa doesn't have many hotels/motels to begin with (I'm sure new ones in downtown have gone up since I left, but those are uber expensive and probably booked anyway)...there's Embassy Suites, a Mariotts, Best Western, etc...but those are all booked I'm sure. Best bet is to try and book a place in American Canyon (or God forbid Vallejo) and go from there. AC is like a 10-15 min drive with no traffic to downtown Napa (where the fairgrounds are), but with traffic, ugh....
Thanks for the info!!

-Martin said there will be no room for parking at the Expo during the festival, and the city and event organizers are working on plans to help prevent BottleRock goers from filling surrounding neighborhoods with their vehicles.
-BottleRock will rent off-site locations where festivalgoers will park, then be taken to the Expo by shuttle or VINE buses, Meyers said.
-One of the parking areas will be Napa Pipe, which can handle between 2,500 and 5,000 vehicles, Meyers said.
Parking fees will lend themselves to carpooling. The more people in a vehicle, the less the parking fee, Meyers said. BottleRock will use social media to encourage festivalgoers to connect with one another and make transportation arrangements, he said.
-“What we are doing I think is unprecedented,” Meyers said of the plan aimed at getting people to fill their vehicles to the max. “If you drive with two or three people in the car, it’s standard festival parking — $30, $20 depending on where you’re (parked).”
“Four people in a car, it’s $4. ... Five people in a car, all BottleRockers, it’s free.”
-As of Thursday morning, between 10,000 and 12,000 passes had been sold, about 35 percent to residents of Napa, Sonoma and Solano counties, Meyers said.

"Last week, locals were encouraged through a $70-off promotion to walk, carpool or bike to the festival; those 700 locals-only deals were gone within an hour of their announcement. Shuttles will be made available, explains Lillis, likely from sites such as Napa Pipe and perhaps as far away as the city of Davis."

Violent Femmes added.....to Thursday. Fuck.
Violent Femmes and Primus on the Thursday ticket is going to be a good show. And with all the people complaining on the BRNV facebook page about having only purchased 3 day tickets hopefully it will be a light crowd on Thrusday. Any ideas on what the capacity of the show it going to be?
Matt Nathanson is on this lineup too? Fuck you guys. Fuck, Violent Femmes, Bad Religion? this is some crazy shit.
Upcoming Shows:
Fever Ray: 5/18 @ Metro
Radiohead: 7/07 @ United Center
Smashing Pumpkins: 8/19 @ Xcel Energy Center
Metallica: 9/02 @ Kohl Center
Metallica: 9/04 @ Target Center
Metallica: 9/08 @ Alerus Center
Riot Fest: 9/14-16 @ Douglas Park
Metallica: 10/16 @ Wisconsin Entertainment and Sports Center
Metallica: 3/09 @ KFC Yum! Center
I'm keeping my fingers even more crossed for a Thursday single ticket.
2013 = Coverchella
2011 = Perfectchella
They said they are gonna offer single day tickets, and even an upgrade plan for people with 3 day passes...does me no good as I already booked my flight for Thursday. Oh well. I got two weekends of Coachella to see the Femmes. Bummed about missing Primus though.

I see they added Richard Thompson and they have 1 more add before they are done.
They also said there will be 2 opening acts for the Macklemore and Ryan Lewis show.
MY question is, is Fairfield okay to stay? Or is it scummy, too far, combination of the both?
Thanks.
Apparently they added Delta Spirit, Family of the Year and Louis Prima Jr.
