So if we move passion pit to the main, which I think they will have to play due to their inexplicable popularity, but then who plays the outdoor at night?
12/16-18 Day for Night
I saw Passion Pit in the middle of the afternoon at Osheaga this summer, I definitely see them playing earlier on the main stage.
i just went through and did my schedule from those mocks. saturday is a total clusterfuck at night.
friday is pretty perfect.
and i agree with switching passion pit with J5 instead of MM.
I don't see anyway of scheduling Saturday to where it doesn't end up as a massive clusterfuck with most people. I still think The Violent Femmes could end up playing during the day like James, Firehose and The Buzzcocks last year and that would solve at least one problem.
I honestly could see Femmes on outdoor/Mojave during the afternoon. They don't need to play at night, and their crowd will be dedicated but it's not like it will be gigantic.
I hope they don't repeat the YYYs vs X total overlap like in 2009.
BTW, Stars were on the main stage last time they played.

So have we all agreed that the new stage will indeed have dance music, not hip-hop?
COACHELLA '06, '10, '11, '12, '13 Outkast - The Knife - Broken Bells - Bonobo - Jagwar Ma - MGMT - Warpaint - Washed Out - Darkside - Blood Orange - Arcade Fire - Beck - Neutral Milk Hotel - Disclosure - Chance the Rapper - STRFKR
Since Clumsy is taking the year off and this thread is the only thing that keeps me sane during the last few months leading into April, I decided to contribute. I took Boourns’ set time predictions from today and made a Photoshop template for this year’s thread. I can start the new thread and make updates as they are suggested, or I can get the files to someone else with the alacrity to run with it. Let me know!
That looks pretty good, but I think Lou Reed is a little early. Great work tho.
And here's Saturday:
Quick lurker question: how do I post the image in a larger format?
Japandroids vs. Grinderman seems unlikely.
Local Nateves vs Band of Horses and Modest Mouse vs Beach House would kill me. I would probably switch metric and Modest Mouse. I just cant see MM on the Main. They're perfect for the outdoor
Arcade Fire 10/29 @ The Capital Building
Arcade Fire 10/31 @ The Palladium
Two Door Cinema Club 11/1 @ The Fox
Father John Misty 11/2 @ The Wiltern
Day of the Dead 11/2&3 @ LA Historic Park
The Head and the Heart 12/7 @ The Wiltern
Volcano Choir 1/18 @ The Fonda
So is the conventional wisdom that Blur plays to a silent outdoor?
Anyone else think the Faint have a chance of closing the mojave? Presets and Modeselektor were both 4th liners
The Replacements --> The Knife --> Outkast
